Så var och käkade bowl med min dotter häromdagen och hon utbrast att "pappa, den här kan du göra minst lika bra".

En asieninspirerad bowl med biff, egenpicklade morötter,gurka smaksatt med risvinäger,chili och sesamfrön, böngroddar med thaipersilja, gräslök,Kimshi, lime och en bädd av ris i botten.

Skojar lite med tjejerna med lite "rolig design" men den här asiatiska kycklingfärsen är inspirerad av @stinaalgulin recept med lite små ändringar. Hade tex ingen ingefära hemma så körde i....ja ni gissade rätt inlagda baby-auberginer 🤣

Hur som helst. Lättlagat och så gott. Tog allt som allt max 30-40 min i lugn takt och barnen gav den 10 av 10.

So this is an account for food content and other fun things. But in life things happen and just keeping a shiny facade is not my style.

When complicated things, or irritating things, happen I tend to sit and write about it for myself. Write and re-write until I find a good description. It helps me off-load. Let the steam out.

This one I feel like sharing. I´m sure there is someone out there that could benefit from it. I wrote it first in Swedish (the language I´m most comfortable with) and translated it to English. Maybe there is a kind soul out there that needs to hear/read this.

Nothing fancy. No poem or something. Just straight forward and raw.

Soft, fluffy bao bun filled with juicy duck and topped with fresh cilantro, crunchy cucumber, carrots, chili, and scallions. A sauce based on hoisin, along with a few other ingredients, added a perfect balance of acidity, sweetness, and umami. 🤤
Good luck stopping at just one😄

Haven't posted in a while for all my beautiful followers because of everything happening around the world. It’s been heavy and heartbreaking.

The energy just hasn’t been there, but as always, we shouldn't let warmongers win. So I’m back, ready to share again and most of all to engage with all your amazing dishes and ideas.

Mongolian Beef and Broccoli. An easy but tasty dish that has it all. Specially loads of protein if that's what you want 🤤

Det snöar rejält idag och då passar den här perfekt för att värma sig. Extra hetta, goda skivor anka med lite fett på, en massa goda grönsaker och det känns genast lite varmare tycker jag. Enkel och snabb Ramen!

Låt mig presentera Salad Olivieh, en pärla från det ofta underskattade men helt magnifika iranska köket. Jag har njutit av den här rätten hemma hos vänner och på persiska restauranger tidigare, men nu gav jag mig äntligen på att laga den själv.

Tänk dig en förfinad version av Salade Russe fast utan morötter men med grillad kyckling, kokt ägg och inlagd gurka som ger den där perfekta balansen mellan krämigt, syrligt och mättande.

Seglade rakt upp bland favoriterna här hemma – särskilt hos mina töser!

Ett måste att testa för alla som gillar comfort food med en twist. ✨🍽️

PS. Den här versionen använder delar turkisk yougurt (istället för bara majonnäs) för att göra den lite fräschare och lättare.

Think of it as a refined version of Salade Russe without the carrots, but instead grilled chicken, boiled eggs, and pickles that bring a perfect balance of creamy, tangy, and satisfying flavors.

It quickly climbed the ranks and became a favorite here at home , especially with my girls!

Oxsvans
Ett utsökt långkok jag gjorde häromdagen – mör oxsvans i en smakrik sås gjord på reduceringen från grytan. Varje tugga tog mig rakt till en sommarkväll i Tarragona, på en liten tavern (taverna) vid Plaza de Pallol.

Serverades med ett lent mos på potatis och rotfrukter jag hade hemma, och en frisk, syrlig sallad som gav perfekt balans till det mustiga köttet.
Rustikt, värmande och med en doft av Medelhavet! ✨

Oxtail
Made this delicious slow-cooked oxtail a few days ago – fall off the bone tender with a rich sauce made from its own reduction. Every bite took me straight to a summer evening in Tarragona, at a cozy tavern (taverna) near Plaza de Pallol.

I served it with creamy mashed potatoes and root vegetables I had at home, alongside a fresh and tangy salad to balance the deep, hearty flavors.

Min version av den turkiska klassikern Kuru Fasulye. En riktigt värmande gryta som passar perfekt en vinterdag. Enkel att laga och så otroligt god att den känns som en varm kram inifrån.
