This coming Monday, we celebrate two brilliant Target Margin humans with gigantic naked hearts at Gala Burlesque. We honor the iconic and shining James Tigger! Ferguson and the influential and groundbreaking Dominique Bravo.

James Tigger! Ferguson has not only changed the landscape of burlesque, but has made a permanent mark in the history of Target Margin. Whether it has been Titus Andronicus (1991), HAMLET (1993), The Tempest (2011), Uriel Acosta: I Want That Man! (2014), P*SSYC*CK KNOW NOTHING (2020), One Night (2022), or this year in This is Real, Tigger! is a force to be reckoned with. His friendship and support shapes our TMT world.

Dominique Bravo is a fierce and loyal advocate for the arts. The work she has done in her career has made significant impact across many arts organizations, social justice movements, and marginalized communities. A producer of films, documentaries and theater, Dominique is also a loyal friend and advocate to Target Margin and has become an essential part of our fabric.

It’s that wonderful time of year again! The time where @sunsetparkopenstudios organizes Sunset Park’s biggest arts celebration with 300+ artists, makers, and creative spaces opening their doors. Don’t miss Target Margin on Saturday from 3-7 pm where we’ll open our doors to development rehearsals of our spring production, PROJECT 251!

[3/3] We conclude our share of the Nonsense Lab one-time events with one of our favorite ways to gather, in a TMT Community Café. This time, we entered into a completely absurd world with Ron Allen’s Entertainer Zero Machine: A Cyber Peep Show Lyric of Illegitimate Theater. It was truly an evening for the Nonsensical. Thank you for all that attended and breathed life into this obscure and visually wild play.

[1/3] And now a moment for our brilliant one-time events during the Nonsense Lab last week! Saskia Lane brought to our humble abode a series of nonsensical musicians and pieces to create a riveting evening of sound and play. Along with Leo Gurevich, Gideon Irving, Jocelyn Mackenzie, Elena Moon Park, & Raky Sastri, NOTHING TO SEE HERE was a wonderful collage of pickles, canola oil, water music, saws, and audience compositions.

Yes it’s true! Our dear festival of pure nonsense comes to a close THIS SATURDAY! So if you’ve been meaning to see these three gorgeous productions but haven’t yet, now’s your last chance to grab those tickets! Tomorrow night, Kathleen Kennedy Tobin opens our weekend up with her visually mesmerizing toy theater piece, The Charnel House at 7 pm. On Friday, Adam M. Kassim and Caroline Fermin have an evening double feature - see We’ll Jump Off That Bridge When We Get There at 7 pm and stay for a late performance of Let Me Be An Animal at 9 pm. And then Saturday, join us for a marathon where you can see all three show and support Sunset Park businesses in between. Tickets are limited!
