Imagine finding the younger versions of us and telling them how our story would unfold…

That one day, we’d have children who carry pieces of both of us. That we’d chase sunsets in places we once only dreamed of seeing.
That we’d travel the world, make memories, and build a life far beyond anything we could have imagined.

They probably wouldn’t believe us.
But here we are.

After all the growing, the changing, the highs and lows… we’re still here, writing our story one beautiful chapter at a time.

And if I could choose one thing to tell my younger self, it would be this:

Two kids fell in love, grew up together, and had kids while they were still learning how to be kids themselves.

Life changed them.
Parenthood changed them. Somewhere along the way, they had to learn how to find each other again.

Now they're not trying to recreate the love they had back then-they're learning to love each other again, with more patience, understanding, forgiveness, and intention.

My best friend.

Here’s a more polished and professional version that still carries the same warmth and emotion.
jokes !!!!
These past 10+ years I’ve watched you work through many jobs, trainings, careers and side hustles to make ends meet.
Often on your own without any hand outs, You even would refuse help when offered.
I’ve watched you work your butt off in roles not deserving of your work ethic and loyalty, & at times you were pressured to stay in positions you didn’t want because of friendships you wanted to uphold and the standards you had set for yourself.
Sometimes this even led to people often abusing your kindness and refusing to pay you on time.
I’ve watched as you’ve had acquaintances and opportunities come & go and we would never really understand why.
Here’s why.
My girl, you would have never had moved if you were to stay in your comfort zone working positions that had empty promises.
God knew you needed to be rid of everything holding you back so you could flourish on your own. Every test and tribulation led you to this triumphant win. You did it !!! You absolutely did it and I’m not at all surprised.
Your hard-work and determination has got you here and I’m so very glad I could be beside you for the ride. I’m the most proudest friend of you and am in awe of what you can do even while you’re down.
All you have achieved and overcome along this journey was done with your head held high and a smile on your face.

I cry as I write this because I’ve seen you come through it all and never let it diminish your bubbly personality once.
I love you my friend and I’m so over the moon I get to watch you graduate today.

Mrs officer. You did that and I am so proud of you 😭😭😭
