Believe it or not that’s me at my first step class July 2024

And yep that’s me in September 2024 still awkward still unsure after 2/3 months.

And now here we are April 2026 nearly 2 years later.

One of the biggest questions I get whenever I post a step video is

“How did you learn that?”

or “I would trip if I tried to do that.”

What people don’t realize…

I started as a beginner. Not knowing a single soul in the class and it’s taken me nearly 2 years to reach this point.

My first thought whenever I read your DM’s is that it’s important not to compare your starting point with someone else’s 2 year timeline. Or let it discourage you from your own growth.

While my Step journey gave me so many takeaways (arguably changed my life) the biggest takeaway to date is this:

Consistency, discipline, and action over time is what gets you results.

Not overnight. Not one class.

Week over week, step over step.

It was consistency and the right people / instructors that allowed me to step into a level of confidence I didn’t know I was capable of.

And the same can be true for you too.

That beginner who was confused in the back of class?

The one who didn’t want to be seen and was too shy to speak?

She’s now a certified instructor. 🖤

Step challenged me and forced me to look inside at my confidence, self-expression, and leadership.

So while this video is about step, I see the overlap with life too.

When you stay consistent with the things that both push and fulfill you…

You become unrecognizable to yourself and to others.

And you don’t realize how far you’ve come, or how much you’ve grown until you look back and realize you’re no longer where you were.

So if this is you, in step or in life…

Then give yourself credit for how far you’ve come.

Give yourself permission to keep going.

And Share your growth with others. You never know who needs to hear it.

Whether I’m developing the strategy a founder needs to scale, helping a woman come home to herself, or practicing on the mat in Spain, the principle is the same:

Nothing is done without intention or values.

Yoga is one of the many ways I practice the same principles I bring to my clients.

Despite how much we try to compartmentalize them, our lives, work, and practices aren’t separate.

Everything informs everything.

This Mallorca retreat was one for the books and will have a special place in my heart.

A special thank you to @rachhirsch and @lizsternyoga for bringing together the most thoughtful group of women I’ve met and for being our teachers + guides this entire trip. You both are incredible humans!

Not only did you both pour into us, nourish us, and push us but you also created a space w/ memories we will all cherish forever

even more special my girl @tys._.tai joined me this time and we had the most special time

When it came time to share our highs I shared what a difference a year made. When I went to the retreat in Portugal 25’ I felt confused, defeated, unsure and seeking. When I went this year I felt calm, steady, confident and even able to offer some readings + words of guidance of my own to the ladies 💖

It’s a testament to what the right community + devotion and commitment to the inner work can do.

I came home with clarity, momentum and excited + inspired for the life and business I am creating.

When I thought about the life I wanted to build, it was never about nice things or material items

It was about integration.

A life where my work inspires the way I live, and the way I live inspires my work.

Where vacations feel like depth, restoration, and expansion, not escape.

Where the people, spaces, and places I choose expand my worldview.

Blending my love for travel + yoga is just one way I get satisfy that and I can’t wait for many more.

Starting your own business is incredibly challenging. Any founder / entrepreneur will tell you that.

But there are 2 things I’ve loved since I did.

One: the community and the stories I get to hear. Stories of resilience, passion, belief, grief, honesty. People w/ brilliant souls that found purpose in building something of their own.

Two: the impact I get to have. The ways I get to challenge leaders & founders to think deeper. To approach leadership, ops, products and strategy in a way that’s deeply aligned to their values. And to serve as someone who leaves people and their businesses better than I found them.

While the road isn’t easy, I’m thankful for communities like @womenofsaas for creating the space where both get to happen taken in Burbank, California by @taroltime
