This week we received the memorial urn for our sweet Buddy boy, and it’s even more beautiful than we could have imagined. It brings us comfort to have a special place that holds his memory so close.

He brought so much love, laughter, and loyalty into our lives and was the biggest blessing we could ever ask for—and now, even in his absence, his spirit still feels near.

Thank you to @sarahlukepatout for helping us honor him in such a meaningful way.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month without you, Buddy.

Not a moment passes that we don’t feel the emptiness your absence has left behind. You weren’t just a dog—you were family. You were our joy, our comfort, our constant. From the second you walked into our lives, you brought a light that changed everything. You loved us without question, stood by us without hesitation, and gave every piece of your heart so freely.

We miss the sound of your paws padding across the floor, the way your tail wagged just a little harder when you saw us, and the warmth of your head resting gently in our lap after a long day.
Your goofy grin, your loyal eyes, your boundless spirit—those things live in us now, even if you’re not physically here.

You were our best friend, our protector, the heart of our family—and we were so lucky to have been yours.

One year married to my best friend, and what a year it’s been. I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for every moment we’ve shared. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and never-ending debates over what to have for dinner.
