Hintonella mexicana — a charming miniature orchid species indigenous to Mexico. We grow this species under intermediate conditions with bright LED lighting, very good air movement, and good humidity. During the winter, we reduce watering and allow the plants to dry completely between waterings. In our experience, this reduced winter watering seems to encourage spiking and blooming. We absolutely love this species! The flowers are surprisingly large for such a small plant and have a beautiful shape and color that make them especially attractive. We prefer growing these mounted, although they can also be grown successfully in pots. Excellent plants for terrariums, vivariums, glass orbs, greenhouses, and outdoors in suitable climates. www.tarzanegroup.com #hintonella #miniature #miniatures #miniatureorchid #miniatureorchids #miniatureorchidsofinstagram #orquideas #orchid #orchids #orchidlove #orchidlover #orchidsociety #flower #flowers #plant #plants #plantlover #wildorchid #wildorchids #microorchid #microorchids #miniorchid #miniorchids #smallorchid #smallorchids #floridaorchids #Tarzanegroup by @tarzanegroup

Lepanthopsis acuminata — a charming miniature orchid species from South America that grows from hot to cool conditions and produces incredibly cute, translucent blooms. There are usually dozens of flowers lined up in a row, almost like little birds sitting on a wire! This is an easy-to-grow species that does best in shade to bright shade, with high humidity and good-quality water. Its delicate growth and adorable flowers make it a wonderful choice for vases, glass orbs, terrariums, vivariums, greenhouse growing, or outdoors in suitable climates. www.tarzanegroup.com #lepanthopsis #lepanthopsisacuminata #miniature #miniatures #miniatureorchid #miniatureorchids #miniatureorchidsofinstagram #orquideas #orchid #orchids #orchidlove #orchidlover #orchidsociety #flower #flowers #plant #plants #plantlover #wildorchid #wildorchids #microorchid #microorchids #miniorchid #miniorchids #smallorchid #smallorchids #floridaorchids #Tarzanegroup by @tarzanegroup

OXYGLOSSUM DENDROBIUMS This section of Dendrobiums is probably one of the most sought-after by miniature orchid lovers. It includes dozens of adorable miniature to small-sized Dendrobiums that grow under a surprisingly wide range of conditions — from warm-growing to cold-growing, bright shade to very bright light, and high humidity to relatively average humidity of 60–70%. We have always been obsessed with the species in this section and have been growing dozens of them for more than a decade. It is also hard to resist taking a group photo when they are all blooming at the same time — something that happens quite often! Many of these blooms can last for several months, and some, like Dendrobium cuthbertsonii, can remain in flower for nearly a year. These Dendrobiums grow well both mounted and potted and make excellent plants for terrariums, vivariums, greenhouses, and outdoor growing in suitable climates. www.tarzanegroup.com #dendrobium #dendrobiumorchids #miniature #miniatures #miniatureorchid #miniatureorchids #miniatureorchidsofinstagram #orquideas #orchid #orchids #orchidlove #orchidlover #orchidsociety #flower #flowers #plant #plants #plantlover #wildorchid #wildorchids #microorchid #microorchids #miniorchid #miniorchids #smallorchid #smallorchids #floridaorchids #Tarzanegroup by @tarzanegroup

Lankesterella ceracifolia — a charming miniature orchid species ranging from Central America to South America, and quite a cutie! We love fuzzy blooms, fuzzy leaves, fuzzy orchids! This miniature has an unusual and attractive growth habit that resembles a small succulent, along with adorable white blooms marked with green spots, a feature so typical of many Brazilian orchid species. It grows well in warm to cool conditions and can remain outdoors year-round in Florida. We find it does best when grown mounted, with no moss or only a very small amount. Its thick roots should be allowed to dry between waterings, and good air movement is important. A wonderful choice for terrariums, vivariums, windowsills, greenhouses, or growing outdoors in suitable climates. www.tarzanegroup.com #lankesterella #miniature #miniatures #miniatureorchid #miniatureorchids #miniatureorchidsofinstagram #orquideas #orchid #orchids #orchidlove #orchidlover #orchidsociety #flower #flowers #plant #plants #plantlover #wildorchid #wildorchids #microorchid #microorchids #miniorchid #miniorchids #smallorchid #smallorchids #floridaorchids #Tarzanegroup by @tarzanegroup

Malleola baliensis / Robiquetia aberrans is a lovely small Asian species with adorable, delicate blooms. It has a Phalaenopsis-like growth habit, with leaves that are typically dark reddish-green and often marked with attractive spots. This species grows especially well mounted and allowed to hang downward. It adapts well to a wide range of temperatures, from hot to cool conditions, and prefers bright, filtered light, good humidity, and excellent air movement. Allow the plant to dry slightly between waterings. A versatile and rewarding species, it makes an excellent choice for terrariums, windowsills, greenhouses, and outdoor growing in suitable climates. www.tarzanegroup.com #malleola #malleolabaliensis #miniature #miniatures #miniatureorchid #miniatureorchids #miniatureorchidsofinstagram #orquideas #orchid #orchids #orchidlove #orchidlover #orchidsociety #flower #flowers #plant #plants #plantlover #wildorchid #wildorchids #microorchid #microorchids #miniorchid #miniorchids #smallorchid #smallorchids #floridaorchids #Tarzanegroup by @tarzanegroup

Lepanthes victorgonzalezii quickly became one of our absolute favorites — and it’s easy to see why! This relatively new species from southern Mexico grows primarily in wet tropical habitats and has proven to be both rewarding and surprisingly easy to cultivate. The plant can remain covered in dozens of blooms nearly year-round, making it an especially charming addition to any collection. It thrives in high humidity with filtered light, although we have found that it also performs well under stronger LED lighting. It can be grown either mounted or potted, and its sequential flower spikes continue producing new blooms and reblooming for months at a time. An outstanding choice for terrariums, vivariums, glass orbs, greenhouse culture, or outdoor growing in suitable climates. For Lepanthes enthusiasts and serious miniature orchid collectors, this is definitely a species worth adding to your collection! www.tarzanegroup.com #lepanthes #miniature #miniatures #miniatureorchid #miniatureorchids #miniatureorchidsofinstagram #orquideas #orchid #orchids #orchidlove #orchidlover #orchidsociety #flower #flowers #plant #plants #plantlover #wildorchid #wildorchids #microorchid #microorchids #miniorchid #miniorchids #smallorchid #smallorchids #floridaorchids #Tarzanegroup by @tarzanegroup

Dendrobium vexillarius ‘Red’ A beautiful Dendrobium from section Oxyglossum, Dendrobium vexillarius is sometimes considered a difficult orchid to grow. However, in our experience, the red- to orange-flowered forms are considerably easier to grow than the lighter-colored forms, such as yellow, white, or blue. Dendrobium vexillarius is native to the cloud forests of Papua New Guinea, where it can be found at elevations ranging from approximately 1,100 to 3,500 meters. The lower-elevation plants are typically the red-flowered forms and tend to be more adaptable in cultivation, particularly because they tolerate colder conditions well. We grow our red forms under intermediate conditions, with daytime temperatures around 75°F and nighttime temperatures dropping to approximately 63–65°F. They appreciate very bright LED lighting, good air movement, and high humidity. This is an excellent species for a variety of growing environments, including terrariums, vivariums, cold-growing refrigerators, greenhouse culture, and outdoor growing in appropriate climates. With the right conditions, the red-flowered forms can be a rewarding and surprisingly adaptable member of the Oxyglossum section. www.tarzanegroup.com #dendrobium #dendrobiumorchids #miniature #miniatures #miniatureorchid #miniatureorchids #miniatureorchidsofinstagram #orquideas #orchid #orchids #orchidlove #orchidlover #orchidsociety #flower #flowers #plant #plants #plantlover #wildorchid #wildorchids #microorchid #microorchids #miniorchid #miniorchids #smallorchid #smallorchids #floridaorchids #Tarzanegroup by @tarzanegroup
