First of all, if you don’t like Hamilton, I have questions. Several, actually. And apparently, I felt the need to address them on camera. 😭😂

Do I respect everybody’s right to have their own opinion? Absolutely. Do I understand how somebody could watch Hamilton and walk away unimpressed? Absolutely NOT. 😭😂

ANYWAY! @uhlanjuh surprised me with tickets to see HAMILTON for my birthday, and BABYYYYY! 🥹🎭❤️ THANK YOU, BOPTIMUS PRIME 🫶🏾

Now, y’all already know I have some VERY strong opinions about this musical. And apparently, I also have very strong opinions about people who don’t like it. 😂

The vocals. The storytelling. The choreography. The TALENT?! I already knew I loved Hamilton, but experiencing it live?! UNMATCHED 😮‍💨👏🏽

Did I capture a few moments that probably should’ve remained between me and my eyeballs? Allegedly 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

Anyway, this video is a beautiful combination of birthday unsolicited commentary, a few moments I probably should’ve left in my camera roll 👀, and our post-show analysis.

10/10 birthday experience. No notes.

On a more serious note, thank you SO much to everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday, send a message, call, post, or show me love in any way. I felt every bit of it, and I’m genuinely grateful. 🥹❤️

Another trip around the sun, another core memory, and another episode of the Tasha Cinematic Universe. 🎬

One thing this past year has taught me is that there’s a difference between repositioning people in your life and dismissing them from it entirely. ❤️

Every relationship doesn’t require a dramatic exit. Sometimes the relationship isn’t necessarily unhealthy, but the level of access you’ve given someone no longer reflects the role they should play in your life.

And sometimes, no amount of repositioning will make a relationship healthy enough to maintain.

I’ve learned that maturity is recognizing the difference.

You can love people without giving them unlimited access. You can appreciate the role someone played in one season without insisting they occupy that same position in the next. And you can create distance without harboring resentment.

Not everybody needs to go. But not everybody needs a front-row seat, either.

And as an overthinker who has historically felt the need to explain every decision in a 12-page dissertation, I’m also learning that every adjustment doesn’t require an announcement. 😭😂

Some things can simply change.

That’s growth. And it’s one of the lessons I’m carrying into this next year of life. ❤️

Not a weak link in the bunch. Not a single disappointment. Just soft, sweet, cinnamon-filled excellence from beginning to end. 😮‍💨🤤

The only feedback I have is “Girl, make some more.” 😂

Anyway, I came. I tasted. I was thoroughly impressed. And now I have another small business to spend my money with. 😭❤️

My birthday is officially one week away, and looking at this little girl has me in my feelings a little bit. 🥹❤️

Because baby… you had NO idea…and STILL DON’T 😂

You had no idea how much life would stretch you. How much you’d learn about yourself. How long it would take you to really like the woman staring back at you in the mirror.

But we got there. ❤️

I like me now. Like, REALLY like me. 😂 I’m more confident, I trust myself more, I take up space differently, and I’m finally learning that I don’t have to shrink, perform, or become somebody else to be worthy of the life I want.

And I think little Tasha would think current Tasha is pretty dope. 🥹

Because y’all keep trying to tell me a reaction is “just a reaction,” and I simply do not believe you. 😂

A 👍🏽 has a tone.
A ❤️ has implications.
A 😂 can mean several different things depending on the circumstances.

And YES, I have assigned each of them a meaning based entirely on vibes, personal experience, and evidence that would absolutely NOT hold up in court. 😭

Are these interpretations factual? No.

Another episode of Serve With Me 🎥🙌🏽

Back to Church Sunday was a whole MOMENT. ❤️

Somewhere between serving, worshipping, trying to stay focused on my assignment, and reacting to everything happening in the room, I was reminded why I love being part of ministry so much.

There’s something special about watching people come together, reconnect with God, and experience His presence. Getting to play even a small part in creating space for those moments will never get old.

Of course, I’m still me… so there were facial expressions, commentary nobody asked for, and at least a few moments where I forgot the camera could see me. 😭😂

Welcome to Senseless Shenanigans, where there is no plot, no purpose, and apparently no adult supervision. 😭😂

All I did was set my phone up after service and press record.

That was my first mistake. 😂

😭🎥 No prompt. No direction. Just vibes, foolishness, and an alarming amount of confidence. I reviewed the footage later and had QUESTIONS. 😂

I fear Senseless Shenanigans may have just become a thing… and honestly, that feels like a terrible idea. So naturally, we may be doing it again. 😭😂

I really need y’all to understand that the music green room before service is its own ministry. 😭😂

There’s makeup happening. Hair being fixed. 😂 And sometimes we walk away with a word 🫠

Honestly, these little moments with my sisters are some of my favorites. The laughs before service, the chaos, the last-minute touch-ups, and then watching everybody switch into ministry mode. 😭
