Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Over my college career, there have been so many trials and tribulations. From friends and family passing away, financial hardship, getting dismissed a semester away from graduating, but through all the ups and downs, I’ve never lost sight of what is meant for me. When I came to South, I was broken and questioning my abilities, but God put me back together like a mosaic art piece. Now, I shine with beauty and elegance! I can’t thank God enough for showing me so much grace over the years, even when I wasn’t deserving! This is only possible because it is his will.
I want to thank my family, friends, and professors for encouraging me throughout this journey. They never stopped believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Forever grateful for all of everyone’s love and support. A special shout out to my mom, without her I don’t know what I would’ve done. Many nights we spent working on care plans and reviewing material, and even when I didn’t do as well as I wanted to, she always reassured me that I knew it and that I was more than capable. My heart is full of joy to be able to continue the legacy my MawMaw started for us many years ago.

Every generation, we are getting a little better. Though she isn’t here to witness this accomplishment, I know she is in heaven, smiling down, and couldn’t be prouder.
Lastly, I want to thank myself for never giving up on myself even when the road got tough. Many people told me they wouldn’t have done what I did. They would’ve just switched majors, but I knew in my heart that nursing is my passion and this is what I was created for. I prayed, cried, lost countless nights of sleep, stressed to the point I didn’t know how I was going to make it another day, but I eaRNed it!

The day I’ve been dreaming of is finally here! May 9th,2025 I will be receiving my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I can’t thank God, my family, and my friends enough for supporting me throughout my journey. It’s been a LONG and HARD road, but I did it! by @tasha__williams

March 8th, 2025 I had the honor of standing next to my very first best friend as two souls became one. I can’t express how honored I am to be chosen to be Amanda’s Maid of Honor 🥺 We’ve been by each other’s side since the first day of kindergarten, through thick or thin we’ve managed to keep our bond strong. From childhood, womanhood, and now a wife I’ve witnessed every phase. I pray this next phase only brings happiness, peace, and blessings! Thank you again to Mr. & Mrs. Joost for letting me be apart of this beautiful union. I love y’all 🤍
