Yoh the end of Q1 was marked by:
burning out less than 3 months after starting Lemon Loaf. 😬💔

Not because things went wrong.
But because I may not actually know how to slow down. 😅

I thought that if I was constantly busy busy busy, that would mean progress progress progress.

Big yikes because it doesn’t. 🥲

So my brain and body said ‘Tash, chill out!’.
So I did nothing.
And watched Shrek. 🥰

THAT helped more than anything else.

Q2, I’m being intentional about my time and energy. 🤝😇

Stay close but don’t get burned by watching me coooooook 🫡✨

A week ago, we hosted our very first event — a floral Galentine’s high tea with 25 wonderful women. 🌸🫖

What made the day special wasn’t just the setting, but the conversations, connections, and sense of community in the room.

So I told myself to avoid posting work stuff on my personal grid, but I just can’t contain my joy. 🥹

Last Sunday, I had my first ever event as a part of Lemon Loaf! 🥳

It was an absolute honor to showcase my experience as an events creator in my home country - Zimbabwe 🇿🇼.

25 ladies gathered to celebrate Galentine’s Day, with a floral, high tea theme.

We focused on the importance of female friendships, cultivated a safe space for our attendees.

There is no ‘I’ in TEAM, so there is gratitude in that we as Lemon Loaf could come together to make this happen.

There is another event coming up very soon, so be on the lookout.

Last year was the last time I wrote down any New Year’s resolutions. 🤷🏾‍♀️
I achieved only some of what was on that paper, and achieved a bit more, spontaneously.

I realized the weight that we put on ourselves to reach certain goals and then when we fail, we think we just don’t have what it takes.
Or that we are failures and will never succeed.

But this is not how our brains work.
We seek comfort first, so we are literally fighting ourselves when we try to change.
By nature, we are designed to try multiple times before getting it right.

For the new year of 2026, I only have a vague business plan, no resolutions here! 😂
