I wrote #FleshAndTone to encompass the love letter that forms in my mind every time I watch someone get completely lost in their music.

Watching sound captivate people is such an intimate invitation into their own unique expressions of self that should never be taken for granted. That closed eyes on the dance floor, vein popping out of your forehead, laughing, screaming on the edge of hysteria when you help create something bigger than yourself moment gets me every time.

I see music as an entity unto itself that lives and breathes for us to connect through, to each other and ourselves.

Thank you to anyone who's helped me in understanding this by losing themselves into the unknown together and showing me it's not that scary, just big kid play.

And thank you to my baby kitten Kiwi for coming home and putting her purrs in the background!

Girlhood is a mountain!!!

Theres something about the giant gentleness summiting peaks alongside such a nurturing group of sisters brings. I feel incredibly lucky to have such fierce yet easeful companions who'll hold your hand at the base of a mountain, or on the day of one of our weddings and say 'we can do this'.

And what's newest to me is not doing any of this at our own expense. No overextending or trying to prove anything, just enjoying the simplicity of accomplishing something together.
