I haven’t talked about it too much, but I have been helping my Dad with various health issues I’ll share at some point. It has been so tragic to witness someone that raised me slowly loose their capacity to function as a human. That being said the brain can be a wonderful mystery. As certain pathways have closed it seems others have opened. My father, although once, and still, a talented poet, has began drawing for the first time in his life. I had never seen him even doodle on the side of the page, but lately ideas have been coming to him in great waves. With his permission I’m sharing some of these artworks. I’ve also got his permission if anyone wants to tattoo any of this incredible and raw artworks. I am so proud of him and constantly getting him new supplies and supporting this new creative outlet he is discovering. by @tashitattoos

Feels weird even posting personal shit right now, but I’ve always been one to keep my activism in the street. 2025 was a year of lots of up and downs. At the end of 2024 it became apparent I would need to help care for my dad in a more full time capacity. I made the move from CDMX back to the US full time. As difficult as that has been I feel very blessed I am in a position where I am able to be there for someone who has cared for me and given me so many opportunities. Although tattooing has slowed way down, I still try to remain positive, taking the opportunities I can and honing my craft. A huge beautiful thing that has happened is meeting a wonderful woman named Sarah I have been dating and has been another huge source of support and love. Another surprising change of events is I began to take some classes again for the first time in 14 years. First at the junior college to break off the rust and this month beginning at university. School never felt like a place I gained the most knowledge but in an effort to remain busy and still grow as a person, it has been a great outlet. To my great surprise I have began a path towards education specifically bilingual elementary education. Teaching first through third graders was the job my mom did and as impressed as I was by her, something I never thought I had the capacity to accomplish. However this past year I have been student teaching in a fourth grade dual immersion class room and it’s been such a rewarding endeavor. I can’t wait to see what 2026 holds. I plan to keep tattooing, pursuing my degree and teaching credential, caring for my father to the best of my ability and loving the partner I am so lucky to have met. Thanks y’all for supporting me and always giving me the boost I need to keep going 💗 Next couple days I’ll be posting three new tattoos, some new flash and Añ exciting surprise! by @tashitattoos
