The Puma Deviate NITRO 4 is that friend who brings all the good stories to the training run...
.
She's fast enough for tempo runs, comfortable enough to hang back and chat on the long runs, and versatile enough to drop into a HYROX class just to see who's lunging with who. 👀
.
The NITROFOAM delivers a soft, comfortable ride, while the PWRPLATE adds just enough pop to make every run feel a little faster. ⚡️
.
And let's not forget the colour of the season: Light Lavender–Inky Depths. 💜🖤

Can you train for a HYROX race and COMRADES at the same time?
.
Well, I guess we're about to find out.
.
HYROX Strength training has its benefits on a Comrades down run, but the Comrades running mileage throws a huge spanner in the works when it comes to overall fatigue and recovery.
.
One goal needs speed, strength and power. The other needs endurance, patience and serious time on your feet.
.
Two very different demands, one training schedule and a whole lot of fatigue to manage.
.
Let's see what happens when hybrid training meets ultra-marathon season. 🏃🏾‍♀️💪🏾

Tasneem’s debut race as a HYROX South Africa ambassador and as a PUMA ambassador at HYROX Abu Dhabi!

Stepping onto the global floor twice in one weekend! First for the Women’s Pro division during the Women’s Only Day, then backing it straight up for Mixed Doubles with her husband. Talk about setting the tone from race one!

Welcome to the team! 🇿🇦 by @tasneemsj_

Fast, grippy and ridiculously comfortable ~ My favourite HYROX racing shoe! 🔥
.
⚡ PWRPLATE carbon fibre plate — that extra pop to help you chase speed.
🛷 PUMAGRIP outsole — excellent grip on the sled turf.
.
HYROX race day? See you on the start line 🏁

I'm not the FUN parent.
I'm the bedtime enforcer, the teeth-brushing police, the homework supervisor and the one shouting, “EAT YOUR VEGGIES!”
.
But when it comes to theme parks? I'M FIRST IN LINE ....
While @sulaimanjakoet sits on the bench holding my bag, I'm hunting down the SCARIEST ride.
.
The only thing I love more than hybrid training is a theme park adventure.
.
You haven't seen me smile until you've seen THEME PARK TASNEEM. 😁😁😁

HYROX Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪
.
Womens Only event, this is how it worked:
- Cellphones were put into locked pouches blocking the front and back camera.
- Metal detectors and airport level security to enter venue.
- My sunglasses were even checked to make sure they were not metaglasses.
- Female only staff, athletes & supporters.
- No photos / no sportsgraf / no finish time photo.
- Mens bathroom was converted into womens bathroom.
.
➕️
A safe space for women who dress modestly to wear less clothes if they wanted to...
It allowed women who are not comfortable to exercise in front of men to participate...
No toilet queues!
No pro men pushing us out of the way!!
An open fast lane for women who run 4.30 ish pace.
And there is something special about women cheering for each other 🫶🏾
.
I understand that an event with no men and no photos is not for everyone, and that's okay, because you could participate in the same divisions on Sat / Sun.
.
But for me, it was absolutely everything!
I got my hair braided in purple at the Puma Boutique, I had glitter and tatoos on, and finally got to test out the Puma racing vest, which I absolutely loved BTW!
.
I can't wait for the next one... I'm already planning my next outfit 🌸

My COMMUNITY grows as I grow...
.
As I learn to SEE people, I find myself focusing more on the POSITIVES — the things that add value to my life, protect my PEACE and improve my wellbeing 🤍
.
I choose to see the endless achievements, unique personalities, shared laughter and genuine connections that make a community special.
.
Because I believe your community is what you choose to make it.
.
So choose wisely. Surround yourself with people who celebrate you, challenge you, inspire you and make room for you to shine.
.
And every now and then, cast your rope a little wider. Reach beyond what’s familiar. Look beyond the people who have always been around you.
.
Because your true community might not be the one standing right next to you, It might be the one you haven’t reached yet.
🤍
