if you know me, you know i’m scared shitless of heights. so in a bid to do more things that scare me, i decided to take the world’s LONGEST AND TALLEST tunnel slide. suffice to say, i won’t be doing it again but I AM GLAD I DID IT CUZ IT WAS SO FUN & SCARY LAHHH 🤢 wHAT?!?! whO eVeN iS ShE?!?! the staff told me that she could hear me screaming for my life from the ground floor HAHAHAHAHAHA #onbrand the ride is only about 40 seconds (boy, it felt like 40 minutes siaaaa) and reaches speed up to 24 km/h! the AcelorMittal Orbit by @dirty_corner and @balmondstudio was commissioned to mark the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games and set to be a centrepiece of the @queenelizabetholympicpark. the helix slide is 178 metres long, with 12 spiraling loops and drops from 76 metres in the air! kudos to the @zip_world_london staff for answering my many queries and assuring me i’m not sliding down to my death 🥹 alhamdulillah, there were kids playing/laughing around so that alleviated some of the fear. my inner child is so proud of me 🖤 by @tatamachi

i explored @southbankcentre for the first time to check out the #poetryinternationalfestival! firstly, there’s several EXTREMELY EXCITING exhibitions happening here, especially #gifttothefuture, where their brutalist buildings are transformed to a giant poetry installation created by thousands of schoolchildren all over U.K. 😍 secondly, THE ZINE FAIR!!!!! (combining my love of poetry in my fave format 🖤🖤🖤) met so many cool, creative and talented people who have INSPIRED me to get off my ass and finish my children’s book!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR STORIES & ART WITH ME!!! @theslowyarnspinner @hannahk.chapman @seaandfog @lachaisejaune_publications @the_sideways_journal @adamdixonarts @thelasttimeisawrichard by @tatamachi
