Punta del Este is not a place I visit.
It’s a place I return to.
I’ve spent my summers here since I was two months old.
Now, at 52, coming back feels different — not heavier, just deeper.
This season was filled with laughter, long lunches, conversations with friends, time with my daughters and my son, family moments, and the quiet joy of sharing ideas with architects and designers who speak my same language.
And still… beneath all that light, there were echoes.
Some places hold joy and memory at the same time.
They remind you of who you were, who you’ve been, and who you’re becoming.
Punta del Este knows all my versions.
That’s why it never feels foreign.
It always feels like home.
And maybe one day — much later —
it will be where I stay longer,
watching the sea do what it’s always done:
teach me how to let things come and go.
