![How many different types of humans existed ?
We know of 13 human species/sub species existing in history. 14 if the recently discovered Denisovan species is included. Some paleoanthropologists and historians only classify 9 while others classify even more sub species totaling 21. It is hard to see when one species ends and another starts , leading numbers to fluctuate .

Us humans (Homo sapiens) are the only hominin species to exist and survive today.
The most recent species that existed with us are Neanderthals and Denisovans. Neanderthals died off some 40,000 years ago

When did the oldest human fossil exist ?
Around 2.8 million years ago. Homo Habilis remains found in Tanzania are the earliest signs of classified human life on this planet. Their 40% larger brains & ability to make tools , classifies them as currently being the "First Humans". Compared to their mid mammal predecessors , they show signs of human cognizance , behavior and skill making. Homo Habilis were located in East , South & Central Africa ; then 1.5 million years ago these first humans began to disperse and evolve into the many species & off shoot species we classify today, including us.
Think of human evolution as not the straight line we were taught in public school but as a complex web or family tree. Starting off as few with less distinctions then spreading out into many branches. Some branches dying off earlier and others continuing ,crossing into our common ancestors.

I will be detailing these different species individually <3

![How are we here?
Why are we here?
Who are we?
[What do you believe is the answer to these questions?]
-feel free to comment below-
Welcome! These are age old wonders that top grade scientists , philosophers and everyday people have not been able to answer.
We exist but do not remember our pre-existence.
What are we here for? To serve? To serve eachother? For some Higher power? Or Higher Purpose?
Galileo, Copernicus, and Bruno used to think that this is our world, and everyone else is literally living in it. The idea that Earth is at the center of the universe and everything else revolves around us, including our Sun has long been debunked. Instead, we are at the very mercy of the universe, whether that is physically speaking or religiously.
Confucius believed that our purpose here is to solidify our morality to keep our ancestors legacies alive and well , to enjoy peace . DeGrasse Tyson believes we may have been created slowly by "alien microorganisms" carried by meteorites and crashing into earth.
This account is here to explore those questions, ideas and hypotheses. We may never figure out those answers but the journey of self discovery is always a compelling one. by @tathescientist](https://s2.imginn.com/625008930_1173258374830865_4188262445071517404_n.jpg?t51.71878-15/625008930_1173258374830865_4188262445071517404_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e15_s640x640_tt6&_nc_cat=100&ig_cache_key=Mjk5MTgxNzY3MDkyOTg2MTEyOQ%3D%3D.3-ccb7-5&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=58cdad&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6IkNBUk9VU0VMX0lURU0ueHBpZHMuNzIwLnNkci52aWRlb19kZWZhdWx0X2NvdmVyX2ZyYW1lLkMzIn0%3D&_nc_ohc=VVLjGgeaUlMQ7kNvwEwrj5p&_nc_oc=AdrZe_BBUxP_b7xJuM0lADbQEInGzN_-pyTiYS3LuAag8nInpUSLMccq40cdfp2Fy25thpq8ZGwp2mDvIPwwOQr_&_nc_ad=z-m&_nc_cid=0&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-atl3-1.cdninstagram.com&_nc_gid=lO8ltaLiAF36ebPbjDpS2A&_nc_ss=7a20f&oh=00_AQNmplgC9AZkQ5ERmPECVNCXSHOB1OR8xTKamIQQVbLwzg&oe=6AD9DF8C)
