I found the people who support me when I am struggling, and when I am succeeding.

This season, I lost a lot of confidence and put too much pressure on myself to be good. I struggled with self-doubt, anxiety, fear of failing, and forgot how to have fun. I eventually wanted to quit, but after talking with my teammates, coaches, friends, and family I realized the only person putting pressure on me was myself. I learned that sports and a medal does not define my worth.

By the end of the season I stopped focusing on winning and started focusing on my teammates, having fun, and putting my faith in the Lord. I realized that this is a team effort, not one person loses the race just like not one person wins the race. To get out of my head I wrote a list of people to do it for. People who faced their fears and stood strong, so I knew I could do this silly race as well.

I took our team prayer to heart, “Do it for Gods glory,” and this proved that putting him above all else is so important. I am so thankful to have the support system I had during this time, and that I wasn’t given up on.

Thank you ElDo track for the past six years. ❤️‍🔥 by @tatum.quinlan
