I’ve put this off because I can’t believe it. I have never personally experienced losing someone this close to me until now. You and I used to be best friends, you’d always say that, we definitely were. I remember the last text between us talking about how excited you were about becoming a dad. I was the first to know in the family ( I’m so bad at keeping secrets and you still facetimed me and told me first..) I’ve been rewatching the video of you and Steph finding out you’re having a baby boy, when everyone thought it was a girl. The shock on your face knowing you were having a son.. I know now why it was a boy, there was such an unspoken blessing behind it. (He better come out with red hair!) I know he’ll never get to meet you but I will make sure to tell him he had the best dad ever, all the best stories and that you loved him so much. I can’t explain how it’s felt knowing that I can’t talk to you anymore, my heart breaks for Grammy, Steph and everyone that loved you. People always said the “gentle giant”. Your time was cut so short, i think we are all still so taken back on how this all happened so quickly, but I have no doubt that you went to heaven. I know that there is a purpose behind everything that God does in our life. Your greatest accomplishments were won; you found the lord, you found your soulmate and you created what will be a beautiful baby boy. You have the best spot on the hill to look over all the deer & land. I know that was you shining down on us. Your presence will be missed so much on earth but I’m excited to know I’ll see you again one day, love u bubba 🤍 by @tatumalease
