For months, we waited for this moment. We imagined it. We talked about it. We wondered what it would feel like.

And then, at 8:32 AM on August 11, time seemed to stop.

One of us bringing him into this world. The other holding on.
And just beyond that curtain, the first breath of the little boy who would change us forever.

Our son was born that morning.

And somehow, so were we. by @tatyanajade

On August 11th, 2026, our lives changed forever. In one tiny cry, the world we knew ended, and the life we were always meant to live began. Two became three and we became Mom and Dad. And a love we thought we understood suddenly became something neither of us knew was possible.

You gave our love a face, a heartbeat, and a name. Our greatest adventure, our greatest love, and the most beautiful chapter of our lives began the moment we met you. There will forever be a life before you and a life after you. And we already know which one we were always meant to live.

Welcome to the world, our beautiful boy.

Love,
Mom & Dad by @tatyanajade

When I pictured our proposal, this moment far exceeded anything I could’ve ever imagined. I wasn’t sure if I was going to share the full video, but I’ve connected with so many of you who have also lost a parent, and I know how bittersweet these big life moments can be - filled with so much joy, but also so much heartache ❤️‍🩹

When my dad passed in 2022, one of the first thoughts that crossed my mind was how he wouldn’t be physically here to see me get married, to watch me raise my children, and to share all of life’s beautiful milestones with us. Knowing that Chris found a way to include him in our proposal warmed my heart in more ways than I could ever express.

As we stood there with the waves crashing in such a beautiful setting, it truly felt like the world had stopped - like it was just us in that moment, and my dad was watching it all unfold.

Thank you all for the love and warm wishes. We’re soaking in every bit of this special time and are so grateful for your love and support 🤍🥹

A year ago today we were hiking in Antibes, and I had absolutely no idea what was about to happen 🤍💍

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since we got engaged in this beautiful place. In some ways, it feels like yesterday and in others, it feels like I’ve lived ten different lives in the past year. I got pregnant, we got married, and we welcomed our beautiful son Leo into the world.

One of the things I find the most peace in is believing that Leo knew my dad long before he ever came into this world. Sometimes he makes little faces that remind me so much of my dad and in those moments I feel a little closer to him. I wish more than anything that they could have met here, in this life, but I find comfort in believing that their connection goes beyond what we can see 🕊️

What a whirlwind it has been and what a reminder of how much life can change in just 365 days 🥹
