Casting call for Gaeilge speaking voice actors!

Taunt are on the lookout for talented voice actors for an upcoming animated Christmas film set in rural Ireland.

If you speak Gaeilge and English, love story telling and have an interest in animated films - we would love to hear from you!

We will be recording at the end of May / early June 2025.

Female Character voice: playing age 10-15 years old.
Female Character voice: age undermined but silly & eccentric.
Male Character voice: playing age 10-15 years old.
Male Character voice: playing age 40-50 years old.

Here are some highlights from a recent BBC Bitesize suite of animations we did about Northern Irish visual artists. We had a lot of fun researching, writing and animating these wonderfully talented people across a range of media. Artists included Deborah Brown, Neil Shawcross, Rita Duffy and Array Collective to name a few! by @taunt_studio

We worked with the talented folks at @dailymadnessproductions last year on their Cartoon Forum pitch for Fluff and Fury - a TV series about surly 3D sheep Fluff and sunny 2D street-fighter Chuck Fury, trying to live their best lives while searching for their perfect video game.

In this mixed 2D/3D animation style we were brought on board to model, rig and animate Fluff to fit with Daily Madness' wonderful 2D world! by @taunt_studio

We're very pleased to announce our next short film, an animated 3D musical supported by the @northernirelandscreen and @bfinetwork Creative Animation Scheme. The Ghost Next Door follows the story of music-lover Art, who just wants to be everybody's friend. The only catch? He's a ghost.

The Ghost Next Door will be written and directed by Taunt producer, @graceloughrey, and will be released next year. We'll be sharing some behind the scenes bits from production in the meantime, so keep an eye out! 👻🎹

We've got a festive treat for you in the form of some @bbcni Two Minute Tales animations! ☃️🐷🎄 We had a blast animating Charles the Snow Pig and Showtime for the competition winners - always a pleasure bringing these Christmassy stories to life! We had a great time at the @belfastfilmfestival programme launch today!

We're particularly buzzing because Animus has been selected to screen in the festival's New Irish Shorts programme, in what will be its Northern Irish debut!

And in a bit of a double whammy, Soul Office will also be screening as part of the @northernirelandscreen programme during the festival.

We're delighted to see both of these films screened in the city they were made, and hope to see you there!

Here's some of our favourite moments from a bunch of animations we did for @bbcbitesize recently! This suite of educational animations covered Foundation, KS1 and KS2 Religious Studies, and featured 45 minutes of 2D and 3D animation. You can see the animations in full on the Bitesize website!

News just in - our animated short Animus, directed by @danwi1son, will premiere at @GalwayFilm this July! We can't wait to see it on the big screen.
