Already into our second week of the season with one of my absolute favorite programs: pairing Sibelius 7 with Debussy La Mer. The @vsorchestra and our own leaders as soloists in Mozart all playing incredibly well by @tausk

Conductor Otto Tausk opens the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s “Mozart, Sibelius & Debussy” programme tonight, with concertmaster Nicholas Wright and principal viola Hung-Wei Huang as soloists in Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, alongside Sibelius’ Seventh Symphony and Debussy’s La Mer, at the Orpheum for the first of three performances.

Let us know if you are seeing any of them in action tonight!

Over the weekend, we welcomed Ivan Karizna to the WASO stage for his debut performance of Schumann's Cello Concerto, alongside one of our favourite guest conductors, Otto Tausk.

From Haydn's The Creation to the warmth of Brahms' Third Symphony, it was an evening we loved performing.

What was your favourite moment? Comment below!
