while I was fighting for my sobriety, he was fighting battles no one could see. No one claps for the person who loves someone through active addiction and afterwards. He loved me through the versions of myself I can barely recognize now. Looking back, I don’t just feel proud of how far I’ve come but i also feel incredibly grateful for the person who showed up when I gave him every reason not to. proof that the messiest chapters can lead to the most beautiful life 🌈 ☀️ 🌱 ✨ 💛 by @tay.radke

13 💛 I see so many parents saying “please stop growing” and I understand the feeling of wanting to bottle up childhood. But, I never want you to stop growing. I want to watch you grow every single day, even though it breaks my heart knowing that with each passing year ur one step closer to not needing me the way you do now. It’s such a privilege to be the ones who get to watch you continue to chase the things that light you up. So my birthday wish for you isn’t that you stay little, it’s that you never stop growing. grow into yourself, grow into your dreams and grow into exactly who you’re meant to be in this life.
