2 years married 🤍

Somehow, in the middle of all the chaos and change this past year brought us, I fell even more in love with you. Watching you become a father has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. You love our family so deeply.

You are my safe place, my constant, and the person who never lets me carry life alone. No matter what season we’re in, I always know I have you beside me.

I have dreamed of this day. The day I had the title, “Mom.”

Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to be a mother someday. And looking back now, I realize it’s because I was lucky enough to be loved so deeply by mine. My mom showed me what unconditional love looks like — the kind that never wavers, never keeps score, and never leaves your side no matter how hard life gets. Because of her, I grew up wanting nothing more than to give that same love to my own child one day.

These last 6 months have been the hardest months of my life. Postpartum preeclampsia, anxiety, depression, fear, exhaustion… and watching my baby battle RSV completely broke me in ways I can’t even explain. There were days I didn’t feel strong, days I felt scared, overwhelmed, and unlike myself.

But through every single moment, my mom never missed a beat. Not once. She showed up for me in every possible way — quietly, selflessly, endlessly. She held me together on the days I felt like I was falling apart. She reminded me I was still me underneath all the hard. She loved me through every tear, every panic attack, every setback, every sleepless night.

I understand her love differently now because I’m a mother too. And if I become even half the mother she is, my baby will be the luckiest child in the world.

There will never be enough words to thank you for carrying me through this season of life. I love you forever, Mom 🩷 by @tayautenrieth
