POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m thrilled to share a piece of my heart with you all - “Time is the Thief of Memory” 🎥✨ An Icelandic Travel Short Film capturing 5 unforgettable days on the Ring Road!

In May 2023, I embarked on a solo journey through Iceland, armed with my Lumix S5 and iPhone 14 Pro. What started as a personal adventure turned into a deep exploration of memories and their fleeting nature.

This film is a mosaic of my experiences, a blend of videos, photos, voice memos, and journal entries. 📸🎙️✍️ I poured my soul into this project, weaving a video poem that delves into the profound impact of memories on our lives. As time passes, we sometimes lose these precious moments, making it challenging to hold on to the memories we cherish.

This project was a personal odyssey for me, a journey of self-discovery and reflection. 😌✨ I shed tears of joy while filming, writing, and editing, experiencing a catharsis I hadn’t felt in ages in my artistic career.

And now, I’m elated to release this piece of my soul into the world. 🌍🎬 I hope it resonates with you, touches your heart, and sparks a reflection on your own beautiful memories.

Thank you for watching, and here’s to savoring the best moments of our lives while we’re here on this Earth. 🌈🌟💙🌎

Some stories don’t just stay with you. They grow with you.

@rainbennett has watched Lonesome Dove every four or five years since he was a kid, and every single time it hits differently. Not because the show changes, but because he does. And shares he it with those close to him along the way.

Rain and I talk about why Lonesome Dove might be the greatest character study in television history, what Augustus McCrae teaches us about friendship and loyalty, and why a six hour Western about two old cowboys driving cattle to Montana still makes grown adults sob like babies in 2026.

We also get into America’s obsession with westward expansion, what Larry McMurtry understood about storytelling that most writers never figure out, and why the stories we watch with our families end up becoming part of our own story.

New episode out now! Link in bio.

Visiting other places is magical. A place like Madeira deserves a description beyond that.

Be grateful for whose homes you are welcomed to take up space in. Be respectful and be kind. Be in that moment.

👻It’s almost Spooky SZN, so watching @blake.kinsey talk about #Supernatural, his horror filmmaking roots and how he moved into more dramatic territory is absolutely the treat you need!

Thanks again to Blake for chatting with me! Peep the episode at links in bio.

What’s the scariest human in cinema?

Forget xenomorphs, creatures from the deep or radiation-charged giant lizards; sometimes people are the scariest thing. At least, their form is.

@blake.kinsey has spent his career focusing on human-centric stories, but knows that there can be darkness lurking around every corner😆

The scariest things in Supernatural were never monsters. It was the idea of losing your brother.

Filmmaker @blake.kinsey watched Sam and Dean Winchester hunt otherworldly beings for 15 seasons, but for him it was all about the family at the core of this CW procedural…

Even if the last ten seasons didn’t quite do it for him😅. Check out more on the latest Film Nuts! Links in bio.

Inspiration comes from anywhere.

What sparks a filmmaking journey? For me? Dumb laughs. For @matfaundez, it was LOTR. He was clearly onto something.

Who’s seeing @a24’s @tonymovie this week?

To help us remember Anthony Bourdain, I asked
@justincookphoto to name famous Bourdain quotes! Not a bad score, overall.

On Wednesdays we wear cloaks.

@matfaundez and I participated in mild cosplay while chatting about the magic that is The Lord of the Rings trilogy, philosophy we learn from Gandalf, and the high art of creating content about toilets…among other things.
