07/06/11 - 06/06/26 🥹❤️🩰

June 6 was my final day as a dancer at my home, @modernrhythmsdanceacademy. Modern Rhythms has been my home for the past 15 years, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I’ve learned so much about myself and others through dance, and it has taught me lessons that I will carry with me throughout my life. Words could never fully express what this community means to me.

To my teachers, I appreciate all of your love, wisdom, lessons, and support over the years. Amanda W, for YEARS you’ve put up with my antics and had so much patience with me. You taught me just about everything I know about dance and helped me grow to love it. Carrie, my dance mother, I can’t believe I’ll be so far from you. I’m going to miss gossiping with you and telling you about everything going on. Amanda M, you started at MRDA when I was just 2.5 years old. Over the years, you’ve become like an older sister and have always been there for me. Jenny, you started as a student and became one of my favorite teachers. To all of the other teachers who have been part of my journey, thank you for the lessons and encouragement. And, of course, I could never forget Joanne. She’s always been so sweet and such a friendly face since I was little.

To my teammates, you’ve all become some of my best friends over the years. Knowing such amazing people that I never would’ve met without this studio is such a blessing. I can’t believe we will all be separated next year and I won’t get to see you every week. I truly don’t know where I’d be without my dance family. I have so much love for all of you, and I hope you all find a community that makes you feel the way I do when I’m with you.

Saying goodbye to something that means so much to me is something I never thought was near, but now that I’ve taken my final bow, I wish I could go back to my very first day and do it all over again.

I’m so proud to say that I was part of something so special. As I enter the next chapter, I will always remember the lessons, people, and memories I’ve gained along the way. I have so much love for MRDA. Thank you, Modern Rhythms, for being my second home. Officially signing off!! 💚💙 by @tayecostello
