“Hey guys! My name is Tayla and I am so excited to be attending Rutgers University next fall! Though I haven’t decided yet, I am planning on either majoring in their Cell Biology and Neuroscience track or their Biochemistry one. I am also planning on continuing my athletic career as a collegiate swimmer there as well. I can’t wait to see what the next four years have in store! GO KNIGHTS!!!!❤️⚔️🖤”

Hey guys! This is a special senior sunday post, but I wanted to announce my verbal commitment to Rutgers University to continue my academics and D1 swimming career. Thank you to all my teammates, friends, and coaches who have supported me throughout this journey. Special shoutout goes to my family who has been with me through it all. To my dad, thank you for always giving me advice and being my rock. To my mom, thank you for always being my #1 cheerleader in the stands. To my sister, I hope that you've learned that you can be and do anything you set your mind to, despite the odds. Lastly, to all the people out there who've felt like their efforts have been wasted, this is a reminder to keep going. It can be difficult, but never stop working at it, or else we could never reach our fullest potential. You gotta have grit, as my mom says. I can't wait to see what the next few years have in store now that I'm bleeding red. GO KNIGHTS⚔️ #scarletknights #ruswimdive by @tayla.smith003
