These days I often find myself reflecting 💭
I was 18 in this video, and there were so many things I would have criticized myself for. Now at 23, stepping into a new chapter has helped me look at what my body was able to do with much kinder eyes. To be able to move your body is a privilege. And sometimes looking back is the only way to acknowledge how far you've come, even if that looks a little different for me now.
Today is International Dance Day, and so to all the movers and groovers, I hope you look at yourselves and the art you create with kind and appreciative eyes.

Ballet — undeniably my first love ❤️‍🩹
If I seem a little different in 2026, it’s probably because I am. I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to take a step back from the artform that has shaped me and been at the forefront of my life for the past 20 years.
The truth is, I’ve been in pain for a long time. And while the stage has always been a happy place — where dreams came true, challenges turned into fulfillment, and friendships became family — my injuries are forcing me to listen, slow down, and recover.
To @capeballetafrica — a company where I was able to feel like the artist I always dreamed of being — thank you. The space and the people have become my second home.
This isn’t a goodbye to ballet, just a pause — to recover and rediscover who I am beyond the dance floor 🤍

Dear Sydney Sweeney,

Your ad sucked.

Xoxo,

all the women who have ever played a sport, danced, lifted, trained their bodies, crossed a finish line, or fought to be valued for everything their bodies can do - and not just how they look.
