Everyone tell you have fast but goes, but you never believe them. When you’re in it, it doesn’t feel very fast at all, it feels like an eternity. Then you get a chance to look back at the year and realize time is a thief.

How will my sweet baby boy be 1 next week!?

He’s been an absolute blessing to us and I have loved every milestone, seeing him conquer the world in his own little ways.

Not the result I was hoping for, of course everyone wants to be at the top of the podium.

I felt good, had a good game going, but ultimately lost in the final trying to do something I thought I should try instead of playing it safe.

There is now 365 days to get more time on the mats and sharpen my Jiu Jitsu.

Thank you to my team @hybridjiujitsu for always pushing me and changing my mindset on how my rounds need to look going into this tournament. Thank you @jiujitsumethods for the spider lasso knowledge. And thank you to @renatotagliaribjj for balancing life and training with me, I know it hasn’t been simple but we make it work 🤍

The best summer yet. Being able to experience everything for the first time with Luca has been amazing. The little feet that can’t quite walk or run yet but nonetheless still enjoy the water and the sand.

The pyramid never disappoints ✨

The excitement, the energy, the time put in to compete here. Sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some. This past week there was a little bit of both.

I won my division and lost in the semifinals in the open class. Grateful to be able to compete with all of these ladies no matter the outcome!

Thank you for my team @hybridjiujitsu who helped prep me for this and the team @jiujitsumethods who not only coached me during this tournament but help every week giving some of my hardest rounds to get me ready. And I can’t miss @renatotagliaribjj who supports me through it all as he stayed home with baby so I can focus on bringing home the gold 🥇

As a side note competing in masters is so much more fun than adults, not only do all of the women bring a more intensity but a friendly vibe 🤍

Last year I celebrated Mother’s Day with you in my belly, today we celebrate with you in my arms.

I felt so funny celebrating last year, but then realized the love and protection I felt for you without you even being here is what made me a mom then.

First tournament back!

I needed this comp. It was a reset for me. It was the last competition I did before my father-in-law passed away and the last one I did before getting pregnant. It’s been 2 years since I’ve competed and if you know me, you know that’s why I do this sport.

Went up 3 weight divisions because I didn’t want to stress about cutting and potentially losing my milk supply. I know everything will get easier and we just needed to get the first one out of the way.

I just wanted to to say that your body can do incredible things, this is 5 months postpartum and having a baby hasn’t stopped me from anything.

Thank you @renatotagliaribjj for pushing me and always believing in me and to my team @hybridjiujitsu for pushing me and even though this was last minute I never heard a “you should wait” or “are you sure” instead you help with all the minor details and got me as ready as I could be.

I can’t wait to see what this season has in store. It feels good to be back!
