Being diagnosed with gastroperesis, knowing that there’s no cure and that treatment is hard to find, has been so incredibly difficult to navigate. Earlier this week, my pain was so bad, I hit my breaking point. I was in so much pain, I just felt so alone in it because I sit or lay at home all day with such little hope in feeling better. I sobbed on the phone to my long distance best friend about how depressed and alone I had felt in it, and her and my husband both secretly planned for her to show up at my door today. I am so unbelievably grateful for the village who hadn’t left my side this entire time, even when I feel the lonely. The truth is, I’m not alone. I have a whole village (even if a small village) of people who care about me and love me and want to see me get better and find treatment. Today gave me so much love and hope and my cup is just so full with the Lord’s blessings. I am so so so thankful. #prayer #chronicillnesswarrior #chronicillnessawareness #gastroperesis #friendship by @taylor_presentg2021
