Social media is always highlights & wins, but can I be for real?

I’ve experienced some crushing this season. There have been some down days, but even in those moments, I can still say I’ve experienced joy. Both can exist.

One thing I know for sure is: God is close

I’m learning that I don’t have to choose one emotion over the other. I can hold both. I can laugh while still healing. I can celebrate while still mourning. I can be thankful and still have moments where it hurts.

Maybe that’s what God has been showing me this month: He is not only present in the moments that feel good. He is near in the moments that break us, too.

August has been both.

And somehow, through all of it, God has been near.

Let’s be FR i’m still healing. Still becoming. Still finding pieces of myself again.
