To the man who was one of the biggest role models in my life—

What a blessing it was to love you, know you, and be so close to you. You were always just one call away—whether I needed help changing a tire, someone to babysit me (which usually meant getting thrown across the room), or just someone to talk to.

I’ll always cherish the late-night conversations about life and the way you were always my protector. The memories we shared are some of my favorite, and I will hold onto them forever.

It will be so hard to do life without you, Uncle Kev. But I find peace in knowing you are home now—no more pain, no more sadness, no more cancer.

It’s been a year since I gave my life to Christ, and it’s probably been the hardest year of my life. But through it all, God has shown me love, patience, kindness, and healing. I’ve met people who will forever be my family. I’ve seen transformation in myself and in others. And even though this has been the biggest trial I’ve ever faced, I know God has a plan. I know He has a beautiful, perfect angel baby waiting for us. I know He will provide healing, and I know He loves me.
It’s so easy to turn our backs sometimes or ask why, but He never said releasing control and trusting would be easy. I pray for all of you as well—that God hears you, and He sees you.

Yesterday, I had a long-awaited surgery to help us conceive a baby and also to address my chronic pain. Brennan and I have been on this infertility journey for almost three years now, and it’s been the hardest trial I’ve ever faced. There have been times I’ve felt in the darkest hole, but also moments where I’ve seen the most beautiful sky. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: God and His blessings.

Yesterday, we received some of the greatest news — they were able to fix my fallopian tubes, remove adhesions from my pelvis, and treat the endometriosis. While our journey isn’t over yet, I’m one step closer to holding the baby I know God has planned for us.

To everyone who has supported Brennan and me along the way, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. We truly wouldn’t have made it without you. And to my amazing husband, you’ve been my rock. I can’t put into words how much I love you.

Here we are, celebrating 6 birthdays together, my love. To My husband, my best friend, my Brennie. What adventures we’ve had so far and all those yet to come. Thank you for being my rock through every storm. You truly are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t thank you enough, my sweet man.
