I’m reflecting on just how much awe I feel every single day.

Your smile
your curiosity
your strength
your softness
your joy

“She gave birth to a son and said, ‘This time I will praise the Lord.’ So she named him Judah.” (Genesis 29:35)

Because before praise, there was pain.
Before Judah, there was a woman named Leah who felt overlooked, unloved, not enough.
But when she gave birth, she made a decision
This time I will praise the Lord

That’s what your name is to me
Not just a name but a declaration
A turning point
A reminder that even when I feel uncertain or unqualified, God still sees me
And He chose me to be your mama

Judah means praise
and your life has been just that
A living, breathing testimony of God’s goodness

You remind me daily that joy and fatigue can live together
That grace meets us right in the mess
That love reshapes everything

I’ve learned so much by being your mama
And I’ve learned just as much from mine

I was raised by a woman full of strength and softness
Who prayed for me, showed up for me, and taught me what love looks like
Because of her, I know how to love you

Judah, you are everything
And I love how God keeps teaching me more about Himself and about who I am through the honor of being your mama

Every day I’ll keep learning how to love you well
And praising God for the gift of your life.

To every mother, to those longing to be mothers, and to those missing their mothers in this season—please know:

Six months of Judah. Six months of love beyond words.

Before we ever held him, we dreamed of him. We prayed for him. We thanked God for him. And now that he’s here, we can’t imagine life without him. His name means praise, and that’s exactly what we do—over and over again. Because how do you fully express gratitude for something this good? For a child who carries joy like sunlight, chasing away even the darkest shadows.

Judah has changed us. He has stretched us. He has made the smallest moments sacred and the hardest days worth it. His dad and I look at him and see God’s faithfulness in its purest form. And still, no matter how much we thank Him, it will never be enough.
