I never would have dreamed there'd be a big ol' music festival right down the road. Or that I'd get to see Zach Top 10 miles from my driveway. But, Decatur sure did it 💫

We definitely aren't the festival type. But, we had us a good time honky tonkin in a hayfield by @taylorhendrix

Dolly brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. The girls felt like they needed to go thank her. So, we went and bought flowers, Ella wrote some sweet notes, we put on a Dolly playlist, and drove to Nashville last week to pay our respects the best way we knew how.

It probably looks silly to a lot of people. But, it was important to us. We needed this.

It was amazing to see the outpouring of love all over the city for her.

What a life she lived. What a legacy she leaves behind. Despite being an insanely talented artists, despite the awards and songs and movies... what everyone seems to remember most is her kindness. Her love and generosity. And, I know I will spend the rest of my life trying to be more like Dolly.

🦋💖

Thank you, Dolly for bringing so much joy to our lives.

We never had the privilege of meeting you. But, you sure impacted my family in more ways than you'll ever know.

Dollywood is our family's happy place.

Your music is the soundtrack to our lives.

We know EVERY word to Steel Magnolias.

We drive to Tennessee just to go hang out at your travel stop.

Getting to see you perform at the Bijou Theater 2 years ago was one of mine and Ella's favorite days, ever. (even though we couldnt take pictures. The memories will live forever in our hearts)

Thank you for being a light in this far too often, dark world.

Thank you for always showing kindness.

Thank you for giving us hope.

Thank you for living a life that will leave a legacy far beyond your years on this earth.

Thank you for giving me and my girls something to bond over.

Thank you for being such a special person that we are grieving you, today.

We will always love you 💖🦋 by @taylorhendrix
