I have officially obtained my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University. I discovered my calling to nursing during freshman year when I helped save my teammates life. It was from that moment on I felt that Nursing was God’s purpose for me. Since then I have dedicated all of my time, energy, and money to this profession. Through this profession I will provide excellent care, educate, and most importantly advocate for every single one of my clients. It is an honor to be selected for an occupation with such a high calling. Although I have now received my degree, this is not the end for it is only the beginning of my Nursing career. Tomorrow I will be graduating from Winston-Salem State University with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Four years ago I changed my major from political science to nursing and now it’s time to step into my role as a Registered Nurse. Although it was a challenge to start over, I was determined to obtain the dreams and aspirations the Lord had set for me. As I look back on my time at Ole State U, I see the trials and tribulations that have shaped me into the woman today. I have been changed for the better and I am ready to continue my journey into Nursing as a leader ready to take on then world. I am grateful for the Lord who saw me through every late night and early clinical. I wanna thank my sister for always inspiring me to always want more for myself and my brother for always picking me up when I’m down. To my love, thank you for always being there for me even in my lowest moments. Lastly, I thank my mother for pushing me even when I couldn’t push myself. To the Gorgeous Gamma Lambda chapter, you have shaped me into the Alpha woman I am today. I am honored to have been apart of a chapter surrounded by women of the utmost strength, grace, & excellence. Thank you for always pouring into me and encouraging me to grow into the woman I am today. I will forever cherish the sisterhood, memories, and lifelong lessons we have shared.

To 70 KP, oh how my bond with you all has grown over these years. It seems like just yesterday we stepped into this sisterhood hand in hand. I have curated real-life bonds with you all, and I am forever grateful for the love, laughter, and unwavering support we have shared along the way. Each of you has played a special role in my journey and helped shape some of my most cherished memories. No matter where life takes us, the bond we share will always hold a special place in my heart.

To my neos, I love you all so much and hold you near and dear to my heart. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to be a big sister! You all have taught me patience and leadership. Watching each of you grow into phenomenal Alpha women has been one of my greatest joys. I am forever proud of the bond we share and will always be here to support and uplift you all. Never forget, I am always one call away.

To my mother who created the legacy, thank you for paving the way. You raised me to be an Alpha Woman with strength, confidence, grace, and resilience. Your love, wisdom, and example have guided me through every season of life and shaped me into the woman I am today. I am forever grateful to walk in the footsteps of such a phenomenal woman and carry on the legacy you began.

Dear Little Taylor,

Oh how far we’ve come! When we were little I always imagined this beautiful, loving, and successful woman. I am proud to tell you that we are slowly but surely becoming her. Everything we ever wanted we’ve accomplished no matter what’s happened or who’s tried to stand in the way. You’ve always been confident in yourself, remained resilient and stayed the course and for that I am forever grateful for you.
