I love anything fantasy with romance. My favorite trope is enemies to lovers.
Let's be friends and talk about books!

🌸 On Wednesday's we wear pink 🌸

I was tagged in this challenge by @sisterbookclubig before I had many pink books.

Question of the day:
What's your go to comfort book?

As of right now mine is Crescent City or A Court of Silver Flames

A couple weeks ago I won a giveaway away that @harperlwoodsauthor hosted.

Thank you again for sending these books to me and writing such an amazing story in book one. I absolutely cannot wait to jump into book two!

If you haven't read What Lies Beyond The Veil, what are you waiting for?

Sappy book post Sunday.

What's a book that you connected deeply to?

For me the book that I connect deeply to has got to be Crescent City specifically book 1.

December of 2020 I lost my cousin in a terrible car accident, we were 4 months apart and were inoperable from the start. I picked CC up while on vacation in August of 2021 so it was all still relatively fresh. If you haven't read CC I suggest you stop reading now cause SPOILERS AHEAD.

Reading Bryce's journey of losing Danika, going through the grief process and healing along the way helped dramatically.

It's not often that we connect to characters or stories on a deep level where we understand and live through those same emotions that the characters are.

This is why I love SJM. This was my first read of hers and every other book that I've read of her's has felt the same.

Also if you'd like me to post a review of CC let me know I don't think I have one posted.

🌟 Birthstone stack🌟
I'm a November girl.

I couldn't do an actual stack or I'd only be showing 2 books. The Bridal Test and Beach Reads spines aren't yellow. Yellow books are hard to come by.

Happy map Monday!

I'm finally getting around to reading Throne of Glass. I've been putting off this series since it's so large and according to everyone that I know that's read it is emotionally damaging.

So far I've read Assassin's Blade. I'm so glad that I read it first because it jumps right into Throne of Glass.

What's a series you've been putting off?

For most of the summer I've been on a romcom kick, taking a much needed break from fantasy.

Blub:
Hannah works for a director, who she's had a crush on for years. They are filming a new movie and the setting of the film just isn't working. To not only impress him but also potentially help her advance further in her career Hannah suggests the small town her and her sister spent most of last summer in. Unable to stay with her sister, Hannah decides to stay with her friend Fox. Which where things get a little interesting.

Review:
I absolutely loved everything about this book. It was easy to get into, they characters were not only easy to relate to but also love. It is friends to lovers, slightly slow burn. There's also an extremely hot massage oil scene🥵 and super cute ellpiloge where we get a glimpse of Hannah, Fox, Piper, and Brendan years down the road. I honestly enjoyed this one more than It Happened One Summer.

What genre are you currently binge reading?

Have you ever read (listened) a book that was so good that you wanted to go immediately buy everything else written by them? That is me after listening to this.

Blurb:
Stella had autism and has only had bad experiences with men. And with the pressure from her parents to settle down and have children, she decides to hire an escort to get better at sex. Stella panics during anything sexual so they decide that it would be better to work on her dating skills instead.

Review:
I could not get enough of this book. It was so cute, funny, and frustrating at times. Michael and Stella are relationship goals, they are so good with each other and accept each other no matter their faults and would do anyhting to make sure that the other is happy and getting what they need. The slow burn with this one is real when it comes to admitting their feelings.
The narrator of the audio book also did an amazing job. Each character had a different voice which really helped me stay focused to listening to the book.

If you're into the fake dating trope go pick this up now. You will not regret it.

Sometimes you just need a break from reading and get some of the creative thoughts you're having out.

I've been wanting a protective book sleeve for awhile and decided to make one that will also fit my tablet while traveling. So this is how I've spent my 4th, creating this beatuy.

Is it perfect? No but I love it all the same. I need to do the back side as well but sure what I should put. Any one have any ideas?

I know only my book friends will enjoy this as much as I do!

I haven't posted a review in a bit, here's my most recent read!

If you didn't know A Touch of Darkness is one of my favorite series, it's the first series I read when I began reading again and I've been hooked ever since.

A Game of Retribution is Hades POV to book two of the A Touch of Darkness series.

I completely forgot how heart breaking this book in the series was, between death of close friends, to miscommunication between Hades and Persephone causing relationship issues, and of course Demeter trying to come between them.

I love being able to see all the behind the scenes of what Hades is doing while he's away from Persephone. He's always up to something whether it's investigating humans, gods, or trials to be able to marry Persephone.

If you need a good laugh look at picture 2 it's one of my favorite scenes😂😂

I've been in a slump so it's taking me forever to finish anything. Anyone else having this issue?

Happy map Monday!
Welcome to the underworld. In honor of my current read currently reading A Game of Retribution

If you're a fan of the A Touch of Darkness series I highly suggest reading the Hades POV'S they are incredible, you get a completely different story and get to see what Hades is doing while Persephone isn't around.
