In honor of tonight’s Masters of American Music event here is a clip from last month.

This song written and released right in the heart of our collective Millennial birth years and could be the anthem of anyone staring down their quickly approaching 40s. Wild how the human experience always comes back around. Bonnie Raitt wrote a happy third verse but Instagram wants to give me a time limit so I gotta leave you all crying rather than flip the script.
@bonnieraittofficial you’re incredible and it was an honor to learn your songs and discover more of your story. Thank you for championing so many causes and living guided by your principles.

Join @rootsofamericanmusic tonight at @visiblevoicebooks

I’m so excited to hear David Mayfeild and Paul Kovac take on the music of Bill Monroe.

“Hey Dad”
By: Taylor Lamborn
Recorded at 11:54PM on April 27

I wrote this back in August and I’ve only played it out once but a woman came up to me after and said she was going to call her dad who she hadn’t talked to in months the next morning. If a simple song can do that, I think maybe there’s value in pouring myself into this here guitar night after night.

My dad would have been 77 Monday and to get ahead of any misconceptions cherry pie is my least favorite dessert, and I doubt my dad had any particular affinity for it either. But there’s certainly a story behind that line. I ate some key-lime pie and planted 14 trees with WPKND on his birthday weekend.

🚨🚨Two upcoming shows I’m excited about with phenomenal songwriters:

MAY 8: @forestcitybrew with @abigayleoakley RSVP on her website (link in my linktree)
MAY 9: @brotherslounge with @mikey.silas and @emergenceensemble

Also @ford I’ll happily accept a new car, if you’ve got one to spare 😏🚙

TLDR: I haven’t posted a full new original song in a minute but I’ve wanted to share this one for a while, I’ve got 2 acoustic shows, it was my Dad’s bday on Monday, and I have the @bluebirdcafetn @taylorguitars golden pick contest on my radar for years so perfect storm means you all get more than just a 10 second teaser of this one.

A little taste of the “Going Home” from last year’s Blues and Soul Jam with @apostlejonesing and @michael_w_h ripping a solo. Excited to get back on that @thegrogshop stage with this talented community. Nobody in Cleveland brings people together with quite the magic of @mikey.silas

See you all tonight 🎶🎉💃
