💔Happy birthday Mommy. you were such a light , i need you dude , I wish I could hear your laugh one more time, hug you and tell you all the things I’ve been holding in . the pain is always here , it never stops ma , ever . i always imagine your just on a very long trip and you’ll be back , but it’s been 5 years💔 when are you coming home? you said you’d never leave me. i Miss you everyday, all day , always… my bestfriend , I hope you can feel all my sweet love from here💛

i sat with rebecca the other night by rivergate mall, this is a day ill never forget
Meet Rebecca,
She grew up in Portland, raised by her grandmother alongside her little brother. “They were my best friends,” she said, wiping away her tears. They both have passed Now, she lives in her car with her husband and two animals Chloe, her grandmother’s dog, and Spot, her cat. Chloe is a living reminder of her grandmother’s love.

Rebecca is disabled, struggling with kidney issues and the effects of chemotherapy on her liver. “My biggest challenge now? Not knowing when I’ll eat next.”

She’s a proud mother of five. Her 16-year-old son is about to graduate high school. “He’s so smart,” she said. “I call him almost every day.” When asked what she’s most proud of, she answered without hesitation: “My children.”

Every day, she watches people rush past with hardened faces. “If I could change one thing, I’d soften people’s hearts.”

Rebecca Says she had it all once , The home, a car, a family. “And then one day, I didn’t,” she said. “People don’t realize how fast life can change.”

She’s not just someone holding a sign. She’s a daughter. A mother. A wife. A woman who’s held onto love through pain, and hope through loss. She’s full of strength that most people don’t take the time to see

@lanehaven This page is rooted in purpose.
It’s where service, storytelling, and faith come together.
I experienced homelessness with my mom as a child and that part of my life gave me compassion, strength, and a deep understanding of what it means to feel unseen.

Lane Haven , was created from that place. Though my mom is no longer here, her love, resilience, and spirit live on in every step I take. This is my way of honoring her and the Lord.

This movement is about reminding the world that people experiencing homelessness are not less than. They are human. Valuable. Worth stopping for. Worth listening to.
Here, I’ll be walking with those experiencing homelessness , listening to their stories, sharing their voices, and meeting needs however I can.
Some days it’ll be interviews and signs. Other days, prayers, joy, and small steps toward hope.
Whatever I do here, it’s to glorify the Lord not myself , Because
I’m here to build people up.
To serve with love.
To change how we see one another , one story, one step at a time.
This isn’t just a mission
This is Kingdom work.
This is my calling.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
Matthew 25:35
