Amoeba table is complete 😮‍💨. Thank you for enduring the many MANY process stories and being so encouraging! And a huge thanks to my shops buds for allowing me the space/time/tools and helping me CNC/finish/shuffle this guy around the shop for months. Building my first li’l coffee table has clearly been very exciting for me. Dining table next 🤙

The scooter helmet picture is… misleading. Otherwise a lot of what you see here are the facts. We did indeed bop around Portugal. We looked at many buildings - some of which were CASTLES. We hiked. We swam. I scared Chloe. We made 8 friends and 2 mortal enemies (not featured). taken in Portugal by @tayslurp

Sure, coffee tables are great… but do they help you learn math? Well friends, they do now. At least this 1️⃣ (already learning) does. And not only that, it has 2️⃣ of the most charming little tiles you’ve ever seen - made, of course, by the great @harrykagan! You might think it’s for kids but you’d be dead wrong. You might think it doesn’t offer a single nod to the dark lord but you’d be wrong AGAIN! 6 wheels on each dowel + 3 dowels on either sid = boom 666.
Balance is very important when it comes to tables. If it’s gonna have sweet little tiles and a couple abacuses, you gotta shout out Mr Hell. Those are the rules! by @tayslurp

HEY, there’s a new place for your butt in town and it’s called my chair!!!! I took this wonderful class with @holdfast.craft at @barberwoodworking and learned how to make this Playing Chair designed by the great Grant Howard. It was a blast. I finally put the finishing touches on it this weekend. He’s doing another one coming up on May 15th-16th. JUST SAYING! It’s very sturdy. You’re allowed to paint an accent strip on it when you bring it home. It’s your chair - you can do whatever you want!!!!

Thanks to Al Pacino, we all know the phrase “Say hello to my little friend!” Well, this week we had to do the opposite. Timmy and I brought Crumb home very shortly after we moved in together and her precious presence turned us into a little family. We loved her obsessively. Timmy especially was always coming up with new ways to spoil her, building her special multi-level houses out of cardboard, painting her name on her favorite box, creating a staircase of shelves in the den that she would run up to find a treat at the sound of a bell every night. He was also the first to realize that she was very sick. We kept hoping she’d come back to us. I’d never had to make the call about a pet’s life before and it felt like an absolutely impossible decision that I never could have come to on my own. We ran every kind of test we could and still had zero answers but we knew she was suffering. In the process of letting her go, the reaction to the pain medicine made it clear that she had been dealing with a neurological disorder that would’ve been nearly impossible to treat and would’ve made her life progressively more miserable. It was the right thing to do but, as anyone who has gone through this knows, it was agony to say goodbye to her. Crumb’s most popular nickname was simply, “Perfect Crumb.” Typically when you’re as gorgeous as Crumb, your personality is gonna be trash. But not Crumb, she was hilarious. She was a very weird girl. She was impossible not to startle, her flops were unmatched, she loved to ride any available shoulder, was able to make herself into a perfect Thanksgiving turkey and had an affinity for aluminium balls, tape measures and reflected light. She lived to hear the bell ring so she could do the tricks Timmy taught her to earn her treats. She always spoke her mind and she loved to spend hours perfuming herself with any flower that entered the house. She and Monopoly had a complicated relationship. Monopoly would start stuff and Crumb would often finish it (SHE WAS TOUGH!) but once or twice, when she was brave enough to venture outside, they’d have a tender nose touch in the garden.
