Reintegrating back into “real life” after spending a month in a little yogi container💛
This experience taught me so much more than expected! It taught me how much more there is to yoga than asana. We spent a lot of time getting to know ourselves on a deeper level, discovering the shadows that live within us. This was no doubt a time of deep reflection and transformation!
I learned a lot about my ego, being the least flexible person in our group due to my spinal fusion. It’s easy to find my mind comparing my body to others, though I know my spine is just a part of who I am. It’s hard not to miss the feeling of bending over and touching my toes, or pushing up into a wheel or back bend. Although finally, after 6 years I think I’ve finally come to terms with who I am & the ways I can and cannot move my body. One step closer to freedom from that part of my ego. 🌱
My heart is full as I reflect on this precious time of my life!
One thing I definitely won’t miss is the smell and sound of monkeys outside my door each morning 🤪 taken in Malpais, Costa Rica by @tayswandering
