What do you believe? 📍Aylesbury 🗣️

BELIEVE started as a song, a message about hope, resilience and never giving up.

We wanted to take that message beyond the music and into the community.

So at Aylesbury Live in the Park, we invited people to complete one simple sentence:

What came back were messages of hope, kindness, positivity, love, resilience and encouragement.

Language is fascinating 🌍 Sometimes, the smallest detail can completely change the meaning of a word

That’s exactly what happened with MAI LO.

In Yoruba, one small change in pronunciation or accent can completely change the meaning. It’s one of the things that I find most fascinating about the language 🇳🇬

MAI LO isn’t really saying “don’t go.” It’s saying…

“Don’t go just yet.”

Because life moves forward, moments change, and eventually we all have to let go.

But every once in a while, you experience a moment you wish could last just a little longer.

That’s the story behind MAI LO 🤎

Every song has a beginning.
MAI LO didn’t start with lyrics, it was a feeling.

The first time I heard the beat sent in by @cruzadermusic I kept replaying it. There was something about the melodies and the little details in the production that stayed with me.

That feeling became a repeated melody and that melody became MAI LO 🎵🎙️

That’s one of the things I love most about making music, sometimes the best ideas don’t start with words. They start with emotion.

Im always curious to know what draws people into a song first, is it the feeling, the melody or the lyrics?
