Hiii! PAYING GIGS IN THE ANIMATION INDUSTRY! If you know someone who would be a great fit, please share this post or tag them in the comments. ❤️

Info below! 👇

🛠️STORYBOARD ARTISTS
Seeking a storyboard artist who excels at discovering character through physical comedy, musical staging, movement, timing, and expression.

The initial assignment is a 15–30 second dialogue-free sequence featuring a single character. I’m looking for someone who can capture the spirit of performers like Fred Astaire by embracing clarity of movement, rhythm, charm, and visual storytelling to communicate without dialogue.

This is a paid exploratory assignment. I will be commissioning storyboard artists to explore different creative approaches before selecting one direction for further development. All participating artists will be compensated.

Preference will be given to applicants with professional or indie animation storyboard experience.

💌To apply, please send to currentlytia@gmail.com:
-Portfolio
-Relevant work samples
-Your typical freelance rates (or rate sheet, if available)
-Contact information

🌞VISUAL DEVELOPMENT ARTISTS
I’m also seeking multiple Visual Development Artists to help shape the visual language of a project.

Current areas of focus include:

✨ Character Exploration
Expressive moments, character dynamics, personality, relationships, and visual storytelling.

🏰 Environment Design
Whimsical locations, architecture, atmosphere, and environmental storytelling.

⚙️ Props & Inventions
Machinery, gadgets, vehicles, and props. A love of steampunk and/or nautical aesthetics is a big plus.

These are paid exploratory assignments focused on visual discovery and development. All participating artists will be compensated.

Preference will be given to applicants with professional or indie visual development experience in animation.

💌To apply, please send to currentlytia@gmail.com:
-Portfolio
-Visual development, concept art, or character exploration samples
-Your typical freelance rates (or rate sheet, if available)

🚫 Please note: AI-generated artwork will not be considered.

Thank you to everyone who has applied for the art positions (they’re still open, by the way!) Next week I’ll begin reviewing applications, and I genuinely can’t wait to see everyone’s work.

I believe animation is one of the most powerful forms of storytelling. It gives life to ideas, preserves wonder, and can remind us that even the smallest voices have something to say. I’ve been an actor for 20+ years, a director for 12, and there’s still so much to learn, lead, and share!

I want to lift up artists and strengthen the incredible animation community. Thank you for believing in the industry.

I found a canvas by someone’s TRASH. Can you believe it? 🥺 I primed it and it was good as new, and there it sat in the garage for a few months… until today!

I’ve been having a weird anxiety thing the last few days (I’m okay! Focus on the story!) and putting that energy somewhere helped. Art is medicine. by @tbirdlizzy

HUGE thank you to @rianimecon and @unconventionalmanagement for a warm wonderful weekend. 💛

I got to eat good food, sip some champagne, and wander the town with friends until I giggled myself silly annnnd embarrassed myself at least once or twice. It happens. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤭 Spent time with some truly kind humans. Con weekends can be chaotic and exhausting (We stayed up WAY too late. 💋) but we’re in this together.

To everyone who came by to say hello…thank you! Your kindness, your stories, your excitement, your cosplay craftsmanship, and your energy are all touchstones to me. I’m very grateful. 💫

Back to creating!

Maybe that’s why we fall in love with stories. 📖🪄 At some point, someone imaginary starts feeling real.

Hello, little baby dolls. Houston, you treated me well. Thank you for being kind to me and my friends! Can you believe I met Roger Clark while I’m playing Red Dead Redemption II? And if you scroll all the way to the right, you’ll see a signed Eminem print that a dear friend gifted me. It’s going to go right in my office, where bravery and creativity go hand in hand. Sound corny? Who cares. 💪🏼

This beautiful musical has been nominated for Film of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards! I directed and cast the dub. What a whirlwind of a week that was! So incredibly thankful and proud of the cast and engineer that pulled it all together. A wildly talented group. Thank you for giving this piece of art a nomination @animeawards.official! @dubbing_brothers_usa
