Still can’t believe I got to be a designer in NYFW 2024 and this was my first fashion show! ✨This was truly a dream come true. Little TC would be so proud 🥹I’m so grateful to my community for helping me make this dream a reality. This exhibition demonstrates the versatility of collage, showcasing how it can be interpreted across various mediums. Each piece is imbued with personal memories, drawing viewers into the intimate landscapes and scenes that shaped my early years. So honored to share that I’ve been awarded the 2026 Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship in Craft. 🤎

This recognition means so much to me. As an artist, I’ve always been interested in using collage, textiles, and found materials to tell stories about memory, places, and the communities that shaped me. To have that work recognized is both humbling and encouraging.

Thank you to the @tennesseeartscommission for investing in my art and believing in the work that I create. And thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way—whether you’ve collected my work, attended a show, shared a kind word, or simply followed the journey. It truly means more than you know.

Growing up in Memphis, field trips to the National Civil Rights Museum were a part of life. I walked those halls learning about the people who came before me, the sacrifices they made, and the history that shaped the city I call home.

This week, I walked those same halls and saw my own work on the walls thanks to @thehoodhistorian and @kdelmez 🫶🏿💕

Being included in Black Joy, In Spite Of... is a full-circle moment I don’t take lightly. To have my work in conversation with stories of resilience, community, creativity, and joy feels very meaningful. Even more meaningful was feeling the love from my own city. There’s something special about being seen by the place that raised you.

I’ve spent so much time focused on the next opportunity, the next exhibition, the next goal. Coming home and seeing this moment reminded me to pause and appreciate the foundation beneath it all.

Memphis made me. And it means everything to contribute to the story of Black joy in the city that taught me how to dream. taken in National Civil Rights Museum by @tc.ragewrld

2025 really sat me down. It forced me to pause, to unlearn some noise, and to remember why I started creating in the first place. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it reminded me that art has always been my way back to myself. I’m
not on the new year, new me wave - I’m just moving with more intention and more honesty.
