Meet orientation leaders Adriana and Amanda who are Student Success Associates (SSA) for the Office of Mentoring, Retention, and Student Success (MRSP) office! The office focuses on skills that our incoming lions may need additional support with such as executive functioning, study skills, time management, and more. You can visit the SSAs from 12-4pm Monday through Friday, with specialty “To-Do Tuesdays” being held from 5-8pm. All sessions are held in the Lions Legacy Center (Roscoe West, MRSP Office 134).

🦁“Being an SSA allows me to help other students learn how to navigate TCNJ and their college lives. I’m proud of being able to guide them towards belonging and success at the school.” - Adriana McClain, Graphic Design & Interactive Multimedia (Class of 2027)

💙“My position as an SSA is unique as I get to guide incoming students through their navigational plan which focuses on many aspects of their college experience, ranging from academic to personal. I’m grateful to see the direct impact that being a mentor for other students on campus can make, as we are a small part of TCNJ’s 91% retention rate from freshman to sophomore year!” - Amanda Kaplan, Nursing (Class of 2028)

👀Adriana’s Office Hours:
Mondays 12:30-2PM
Tuesdays 12-1PM

👀Amanda’s Office Hours:

We show off our amazing and dedicated staff throughout this page, but what about the individuals working behind the scenes? Our professional staff works diligently to create the framework to allow for our transition leaders to be successful. We’re grateful for their consistent support and guidance as we continue to keep in contact with our new lions as the semester begins.
