Howard University… thank you for accepting me and rewiring me for the last 4 years. ❤️💙

There is a strong value to be in apart of a small world where you are apart of the majority, excellence is normal and everyone is pushing each other toward continuous success.

I’m beyond blessed to have attended and graduated from Howard University this spring. Howard showed me community, faith, tenacity, and commitment in a way I could’ve learned nowhere else.

This is just my beginning 🦬🎓

A Georgetown Alumna. 💙

To say this moment feels surreal would be an understatement. Graduating from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy is a true honor — and doing it while working full time as a policy advisor makes it feel that much rewarding.

For the past two years, I have shown up to class after long days on the Hill, submitted papers between client calls, and pushed through moments where I genuinely wondered if I could do it all. But here I am. And I am so proud.

None of this would have been possible without God — whose grace carried me through every deadline, every doubt, and every late night when I had nothing left. None of this would have been possible without my family, who have cheered me on every step of the way. And none of this would have been possible without the most incredible support system a girl could ask for — the friends, mentors, and colleagues who believed in me even when I struggled to believe in myself.

Georgetown, you have shaped the way I think, the way I lead, and the way I serve. I am forever grateful.

Dear Howard University,

This is my goodbye letter to you. You’ve taught me some of the hardest lessons I’ll ever learn. You taught me about myself and showed me that success is limitless.

Four years ago, a small-town Kentucky girl had a dream: to make a change and create an easier path for those who would follow. I am proud to say that Howard, you did not make me, but you gave me strength and helped shape me. Along the way, I faced challenges I didn’t know I could overcome, but God gave me the strength, wisdom, and faith to rise above them.

I am proud to say that it was not by my own doing, but by His grace that I have grown, learned, and been shaped into someone ready to step boldly into the world and leave my mark.

So here I stand, full of gratitude, full of purpose, and full of faith. Thank you, God, for never letting go, and thank you, Howard, for shaping me into someone I’ve always dreamed to be.
