I’ve started a long term guerrilla filmmaking project called 100 film mountain. this is the first film but it doesn’t even count as one, this is #0. It was difficult to make because as you may notice I am wearing winter clothes but I filmed it in a hot upstairs room during a heatwave. During lockdown I was making 1 film per week as part of 3p film club, so even though it might sound prohibitively ambitious, I believe I can make it. And if I die before I get there, I’ve already got plans to make a will that leaves everything I own to my niece and nephew, as long as they complete the project for me. If you want to get involved in any way, let me know - a lot of the films will be made by me, one man band style, but I’m hoping lots will be collaborations with musicians, performers, artists and other members of the general public. I made film 1 of 100 film mountain 🖤 this is the last snippet. The biggest lesson from this was to not put 100 ideas into 1 film but to next time give each idea its own film. The good news is this means I already have lots of ideas that I can develop for my next few films. I’m going to revisit some of the ideas I touched on like peeling off my own skin, a big hand coming down from the sky to carry you to safety, and creating depth with simulated camera movement by playing with perspective and scale with lots of layered parts.
