Tending to this green space is a full-time labor of love. It’s surely abundant in its return and truly worthwhile. But don’t get it twisted there are plenty of days I leave the garden exhausted, and times I gladly take a day off when God helps with the watering! Yes, I love when it rains just not too much.

I’m already harvesting! 🌱

This is overwintered Swiss chard from last year, left in place. This year it’s come back lush, vibrant, and delicious.

The season is already off to an incredible start 🤞🏾#brooklyn #gardening #gardeninspiration #harvest #vegeterianfood taken in Brooklyn, New York by @tdotdixie

Planting blueberries! 🫐

These beauties love acidic soil with a pH between 4.5 and 5.5, something new for me!

To lower the pH and create the right environment, I’m adding elemental sulfur along with feather and bone meal to improve soil structure and boost nutrients.

Hoping for happy, thriving blueberry bushes this season!

The heat is high in this corner of the garden! 🔥
From Korean peppers and poblanos to habaneros, scotch bonnets, chocolate bonnets, chicken eye, and ghost peppers this is where the real spicy ones live. 🥵
No games will be played here. Only the bold should pick… and taste at their own risk.
Might need to put up a warning sign soon 😅
Can’t wait to see these beauties bear fruit in the coming months!
