Not everyday you walk into GC and run into someone like this. Thee Patrick Hollis!! of Patrick Hollis & United and long time drummer for Lee Williams & the Spiritual QC's. I remember standing behind him at the quartet programs back in the day and watching how he locked it Down! He was mad approachable when running into him last week. He gave my bro and I some great words of wisdom and encouragement. We even talked about that black Ludwig snare he was known for traveling with back in the day. 💪🏾👌🏾 by @tdrums_89

Today was a hard day but It felt good being back in strawberry with family. Cuz Chalmers' passing showed me that I'm nothing but history repeating itself. Thank you for all you gave my dad which made me who I am... I just wish I had the chance tell you... 😔 Please keep his children and our family in your prayers! #ALegend #Legacy

The 90s will always be one of my favorite eras. I can't play anything from it without turning into it. lol True story.. my uncle Jerome (RIH) bought me the Show Up VHS for Christmas the year after It came out. I use to set my dad's kit up in front the TV and copy everything I saw. Ladell gave gospel drumming a swag and energy that It didn't have prior, IMO. Later on I got to hang out with him and pick his brain every time He came to our city.. regardless of who he was hitting for. #muchlovetotheOG by @tdrums_89

We were supposed to do "I do Worship" that Sunday but service took several turns and we didn't get to it. I wore gloves trying to be like one of my favorite drummers for the moment. Iykyk. I'm scared cause I'm starting to take a liking to it. 😳🤣 I can see why the hard hitting drummers wore them in the 90s. They take the shock away from your wrists and they make ya feel like you can fly around the kit. lol Not something I'll do all the time but.... when I wanna be old, definitely lol If I played Quartet on the regular? Today makes 8 years of being married to the one woman that God made for me! You've made these last 8 years of marriage the best they could ever be and there's no one else I would've rather spent them with. We've seen wins and losses but in the midst of them all our commitment to God and each other remains the same. When we got together 9 years ago I had no clue of all God had for me, in you... Happy Anniversary my Love! 😍 🖤
