Just some of my hairbrained choreography using music from @lippaandrew The Wild Party. The @fishbackstudioofficial dancers who showed up to this theatre dance workshop with @maryrose_campos @campos.choreography and me WORKED their butts off for 6 hours over 2 days to learn 4 pieces. So proud of those kids for jumping in headfirst! by @tdubbyo

TL;DR I finally learned how to do something I’ve always wanted to learn.

During the @prettywoman tour, I made a decision to sign up for massage school @thecrsmt. Because the school started only a few months after I finished tour, I decided to go back to New Mexico (where I grew up) instead of living in NYC without a job. I know most of you know it’s much harder up there.

While home, I wanted to do something I’d never done before, but always wanted to learn. So I started going to Saturday morning classes @rollerkingnm where they filmed scenes for @strangerthingsnetfliix to learn how to roller skate.

Learning this silly new skill has been fun and rewarding. It’s kept me out of the house and moving. I fell in love with it so quickly and I’ve been here nearly 4x/wk. There are still endless things to learn, but i feel proud of how comfortable I am on wheels in such a short amount of time.

I’ve been having a lot of self doubt, second guessing, conflict going through myself lately. I don’t feel like half the dancer I used to be. I don’t know if I’m strong enough for NY anymore. But I get out on the skate floor and I can breathe and just roll with it.

I’m not meaning to sound pitiful. In fact I’d like to think if this as a shout out to learning something new. So I hope everyone has something that they’re excited and passionate about.

Thank you so much for the kind words @theatreeddys! The audiences in @sanjosetheaters for @prettywoman were awesome! So long for now, USA, see ya soon @bactouring

As a side note, can’t believe I’m missing the @themcelroyfamily live tour by just a month! Performing right down the street.

But as always, thanks @trent.soyster for being my dance partner every night.
