Im excited to officially announce that I will be fulfilling a life long dream of mine by partnering with the Hetrick-Martin Institute team to run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon! I have committed to raise at minimum $5,000 for HMI. The race is on November 1st, 2026 and rolling donations are welcomed by October 26th, of this year. I am honored to support an organization to give back to a community that has given me so much ❤️ Thank you to all who made this happen, see you at the finish line!

The Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) is the nation’s oldest LGBTQIA+ youth organization serving queer and trans youth, primarily of color, between the ages of 13 and 24. HMI supports and empowers queer youth by creating affirming spaces, providing vital services, and advocating for systems that allow young people to live healthy, authentic lives. Through direct support, community partnership, and education, HMI works to reduce harm, build resilience, and expand opportunities for queer and trans youth.

The link in my bio will guide you to the donation page! Please like, share and repost to spread the word about my fundraising goal for HMI! By donating today, you are taking a stand with us to make that vision a reality for queer and trans youth of color. Your support provides free, quality mental health services, creating safe and nurturing spaces where they can thrive. Every contribution makes a difference.

As a queer adult- YOU CAN give back to the next generation of queer youth in NEED.
Who don’t know what it’s like to come out during a time when slurs wouldn’t be said on TV.
Who don’t know a president of color, who doesn’t wage war on its own people.
Queer kids in 2025 don’t know a world of peace and safety as their own, they know it as history.
YOU can be that difference. YOU can do something besides doom scroll.
$5 doesn’t change your life but it can change theirs.

grateful.

wow this event was so beautiful. moved by artists who came together to celebrate and support a cause that is relevant to all of us in the room- giving back to the next generation of queer and trans youth.
I am running the @nycmarathon to raise $5k for the @hetrickmartin institute, the nations oldest organization that works to provide free health services to NYC youth

thank you to each of you who’s music, originals and covers- all hand picked and performed with intention that convey the experience of queerness in such a beautiful way.

@lilabloommusic haunting vocals and melancholic instruments dancing around our ears.

@jemwildesongs and how you somehow made the space even warmer, new and old songs alike

@rain.elektra bringing art to the space in physical medium and music

@vnyx.nyc for celebrating how Disney’s “Poor Unfortunate Souls” was a song for Ursula, the villainous sea witch who was based on real life drag queen Divine, and the infamous title song “Part of Your World” by Howard Ashman, a queer man who wrote the song during the aids crisis and later passed in 1991 from AIDS-related complications, weaving the desire of acceptance and belonging that is largely not accessible to queer folk into this beloved Disney track.

@hero.magnus singing of miracle pregnancy born out of sapphic connection, with no involvement of male bodies

@lucybriight turning mundane arguements in traffic into a work of art, celebrating queerness and for helping out with equipment

@renaangel2 staying true to her name 🪽

@washburnandtheriver gentle cadences

@joanneoctave closing the night out with queer anthems that guided us through your personal journey with queerness

@chiara_kovac connections between mind, body, spirit and beyond ⚔️

@bananas_nyc thank you for donating the space for such an amazing cause. Your generosity will be remembered.
The space was named after the experience of Chinese-American Chef owners Chris Ng & Kyaw Lwin, referencing the term “banana” used as a slur to describe Asian Americans who present Asian but are “white” underneath. A restaurant of resistance. Joy. Beauty. Thank you. Catch them before they close permanently next month. taken in East Village by @te11ah
