Meet Graham Carter. Graham found the Kings Hat Three stones while visiting the area. He instantly send me a video of them, it made my day. We don’t yet know what they weigh, but we’ll get down there soon with the scales. Once weighed will register with English Stone-lifting. In the mean time, I figured it best to call the individual stones after Graham and his sons Harry and Bradley. It was good to get the boys down there this weekend so they could all have a go at lifting them. These stones are open to the public.

Meet the White Hart of Stagbury Mount. The challenge, to run the 31.5kg stone up to the top of Stagbury Mount, and place the stone upon the trig point. White Harts are usually the symbol of the spirit world in folklore, and can often be an omen of sorts. Stagbury Mount is a large burial mound that over time has shrunk due to rabbits warrens within collapsing. It’s still impressive and is the second highest point in the forest and my favourite view. If you’d like to lift the stone, please contact me. From the trial run we completed you’ll need a small mat to sit upon the trig point to protect the stone.

Meet Pamela, She runs the recently opened bar, the Sporting Hound, at the Bramble Hill hotel. She very kindly offered to be the new custodian of the Bramble Stone (105kg) and the Fallow stone (41.6kg). Loved the fact Pamela picked up the Fallow for a photo showing them all how it’s done! 💪🏻The Bramble Hill Hotel, and surrounding area is steeped in history. I look forward to many more visits here with tours. It was good to see, considering the names of the stones, the fallow deer in the fields adjacent to the hotel. A local resident is often driving a WWII jeep up the drive, considering this was a field hospital during both World Wars, seems very fitting!

If you’d like to arrange a lift, please get in contact.

Sensory sauna this morning with Bailey @solace.sauna followed by @primal.rhythms @coach_graham_carter men’s circle. Highly recommend both. Has done wonders for my mental health. Also gave the group a brief stone session on the stones found by, and named after, Graham. Good to get people lifting stones. by @tea_and_stones_

Wow! What can I say?! A trial run for upcoming stone tours in the New Forest. I was so worried about how today would go, were the stones alright weights? Am I going to give them enough information? Do I know my facts? What I failed to realise is that none of these things mattered. It was about the community. A group of people came together, and lifted rocks. I’ve had nothing but positive feedback and some constant grins from those hitting some PB’s. I want to thank everyone that supported me today. Not just the lifters, but the family members egging them on, the custodians hosting the stones inviting us in, the photographer giving up his free time to capture moments of joy. You are what makes this possible. You are the community, and you should be proud of yourselves! 💪🏻🪨

Meet the Kings Hat Three, or individually, Graham, Harry & Bradley. Named after Graham Carter and his sons, Graham only yesterday discovered the stones so seems only fitting to name them as such. I had to get down there straight after the gym this eve!

Theres lots of folklore linked to the land here, so more on that soon. The stones have yet to be weighed, but I’m guessing anywhere between 60kg and 90kg. I’m going to move them closer together, and maybe a little more secluded as it seems in only the those two days they’ve been moved apart.

If you’d like to go lift them, they’re just off of Kings Hat car park, New Forest. Please treat the boys with respect and follow stone lifting etiquette. I’ll update with weights once they’ve been weighed.
