✨ Pink Tulip Wednesday ✨🌷

Hope you are all well! Here is the finished article! Tulip bunting, block printed with my own hand carved block. I think I'm in love 😍💕🌷

Also nothing is now safe when I'm armed with my trusty block and paint. I keep eyeing up blank spaces in the house to see if they might need a wee bit of tulip love. 😅🌷

Hope you are all well, the sun is out here again today, washing on and a hot tea on the go. A good start so far. Happy Wednesday! Nicole xo 🌷

Ps The bunting is available on my Etsy Shop, link in my bio. 🌷💕

THE DAYS ARE GETTING shorter but there's still colour in the garden! And yes, even some sweet peas, can you believe it?! 🌻 🌼 🌸

A selection of what I found yesterday, all displayed in a little milk jug made by my very talented sister!

I'm enjoying the last few weeks of these beautiful blooms before the garden starts its long slumber. 💐 💤

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend! ✨💞

PUMPKINS ✨🎃

Time for a little pumpkin spam before the next season is well and truly upon us! Thank you for all the love for these wee hand stamped lengths of bunting. They are a joy to make, even though I seem to hold my breath when I'm stamping 🤣

Tea on here, it's been a busy few weeks. No sign of slowing down so I'm holding on tight for the ride. 🫣✨

Missing those summer evenings already but autumn is really putting on a show around here! 🍂 🍁 🍃

Much love, Nicole xo

✨ Monday Morning Rituals ✨

Off to the garden with a huge mug of tea and a listen to the birds. Sound on to hear!

I think that's a robin and definitely a crow or two. 🤔 Have a lovely start to your week! Nicole xo✨

I SHOULD HAVE RESISTED... I should have held firm. But I just couldn't 😂🍪

Cut to my baking bowl in front of me for the opening credits of @britishbakeoff furiously creaming butter and sugar with a wooden spoon for American Style Cookies when lo and behold it ended up being the first challenge!

I was thrilled! My waistline probably not as much. 🙄🍪

I did however have one or two with a big glass of milk and had a great sleep, so maybe that's the secret 🤔😴😂

Cookie Recipe - Makes 20!

1.Cream together 125g butter with 150g sugar until light and fluffy.
2.Add in 1 egg and drop in 200g of your choice of chopped up chocolate!
3.Sift in 225g self-raising flour and a pinch of salt. Mix Well.
4. Roll mixture into a log and slice into 1cm slices. If you have time, place on flat baking tray in fridge or freezer to firm up before baking at 180degrees C for 10-15 mins. Until the edges are crispy and the centres are squidgy.

Enjoy! I usually freeze half this mixture when in the slices so I can have cookies when the urge hits me. Which can be often. 🍪😅

Happy Wednesday 🍪✨ Nicole xo

AUTUMN is slowly arriving inside the house and out.

I've made some cosy additions to the living room. Somewhere to snuggle after getting drenched outside and some seasonal decorations to brighten up this north facing room. 🍂🍁✨

Do you add some autumnal bits to your home to add an extra bit of sparkle when the nights start to draw in again? ✨🍂🍁

Happy Saturday everyone!

DID ANY OF YOU watch @britishbakeoff last night? I chuckled my way through. So glad to see it's back on and Nigella is going to be hilarious with her witty one - liners! ✨😂

Taking my tea with some stunning 'cupcake mixed' cosmos. I thought they were rather fitting with the baking theme and they are putting on such a show in the garden at present! Are you growing any cosmos? 💮 🌸

I better go drink this before it gets cold, happy Wednesday!! Nicole xo☕

GOSH I LOVE PUMPKINS... I love growing them, eating them and I've many a happy memory carving them with my late father for Hallowe'en...🎃✨

So it was only natural when I was thinking of an autumn design to carve and block print, that the humble pumpkin got first dibs. What do you think? I hope you all like! It keeps me out of mischief. 🙃🎃

Happy Monday everyone, didn't the weekend fly by...

✨ Choc-chip Pumpkin Muffins 🎃🍪 ✨Fluffy, buttery with a hint of warming spices, a perfect pick me up for the season and a chance for me to use up some pumpkin purée I found in the freezer!

I started making these a couple of years ago not sure if my family would like the addition of pumpkin but they love them and have taken most of these off my hands already! Here is the recipe below!

Ingredients -
225g plain flour
2tsp baking powder
1.5 tsp cinnamon
1.5 tsp mixed spice
200g pumpkin puree
2 eggs
125g melted butter
100g choc chips
150g sugar
1tsp vanilla extract

Method -
1. Add cooled melted butter to the sugar and whisk until it starts to get paler. Add in the eggs and vanilla essence.
2. Stir in pumpkin puree and fold in the flour, baking powder, spices and choc chips!
3. Divide into 12 muffin cases and place in a preheated oven at 170 degrees celsius for 25 - 30 minutes until a skewer comes out clean!
4. Remove onto tray to cool, whilst still warm brush with melted butter and dip the top in cinnamon sugar!

Do you think you would give these a go? Nicole xo🎃

IT DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS... call me simple but a steaming hot tea in the garden surrounded by flowers and birds really is the best start to the day!

Do you agree? ☕ 🐦‍⬛ 🌸

Happy Wednesday! Nicole xo💞

I PROMISED YOU some pictures from beautiful Kristiansand, Norway 🇳🇴.

I hope the people weren't cursing me too much for snapping their beautiful homes. Stunning, do you have a favourite? I love them all but especially the red one with the evergreen tree outside it. I'm sure it would be magical in the snow! ❄️🌲

A dander past the square, impressive cathedral and fishmarket made up the rest of our day traversing the city.

I hope you all have a lovely start to your week! Nicole xo

🇳🇴 As Norway lays her king to rest, I'm sharing some photos from last week from beautiful Oslo, my first time visiting the country and it hopefully won't be my last. 💞

The city was so welcoming and easy to traverse, and any people we spoke to were so warm and friendly. The outpouring of love and sadness at the passing of King Harald V was extremely emotive to see. It also was lucky we got such beautiful weather! 🌅

I'll share some photos soon of beautiful Kristiansand as well. I fell in love with the beautiful houses there. 💞

I hope you are all well, September again, I swear the years are getting quicker! Happy Wednesday. Nicole xo
